I'm working on getting better and healthier in preparation for my next dose of chemotherapy. It's a day by day process and sometimes all I want to do is sleep.

Frannie, I haven't been on the line lately. I've only had one dose of chemo (non-Hodgkin's lymphoma) and my hair is starting to fall out. Spent last week in the hospital with atrial fibrillation. The past couple of weeks have just been YUCK. I get to feeling better and then WHAM, I'm back on my keester again.

I'm on a low fat low sodium diet and that is so undesirable to maintaining weight.

I'll get through it because I only have six sessions of chemo with one coming up next week and then only four left. Oncologist says that it gets worse before it gets better and that when I'm finished I will be cured! Hope he is right.

Thanks for asking.

I am finally again working on my husbands cardigan/sweater. Crochet. I had to put it down to finish up Christmas presents. But when the sweater frustrates me I have about 4 other crochet projects in the works to choose from....clothespin bag, dragon toy, dish scrubbies, a small scarf.
Joanna, I should use that method, perhaps I would get farther along on my projects. :) I too am a coffee hound. :)

Hi Alicia! LOL!! Coffee hounds unite!!
You will be pleasantly surprised how well the 10 minute method works!
I caution you, it takes a month of sticking to it before it "feels" normal. Once you get past that, things just work!!

I would love to see pictures of cardigan you are working on. I crochet as well. Like you, always have many projects going at once depending on my mood, weather etc

Sheri, your hat box is absolutely exquisite. Reminds me of a piece of Stickley furniture I saw not long ago.

Joanna-
I'll get some pics of the cardigan and my other WIPs up on my blog.
I'm a little anxious about the seams on the cardigan. All my other seams were never that big of a deal, not...important enough? But I've put so much work into this darn cardigan that I want the seams to be perfect! I have a number of crochet books I'll be looking through, think I'll practice on my swatches.

In the meantime I've finished another washcloth, in a pretty, springy orange multi shaded yarn. Worked on it at wrestling practice for two evenings. Short and sweet. :) Probably about 3 hours worth or crocheting, looking up to watch the boys for a minute, chatting with the other moms, back to crocheting.

Woking on knitting a washcloth for a swap and two completely hand sewn quilts. Also, I am always working on my writing. Writing is something that I have to do. I always love seeing what others are doing. Thanks for sharing.

I just finished up a book wreath (and posted a tutorial on my blog), and after I do some housecleaning, I'm going to work a little more on my dishcloths for the swap!

After doing the usual morning chores (on my day off from work)I'm going to sew a cover for my netbook. During the snowstorm last week I sewed two sewing kits for some of my teenage sewing students and I made a pincushion out of a vintage teacup for a woman who hosts a creativity club each week at the college where I work. If I can figure out how to upload the photos (or have my tech savvy kids do it!) I'll share my projects. Dianne

Thanks for the kind words on my boxes, Betty. I am working on another today - it's almost finished. I am making a small sewing box this time. When it is finished, it will hold three spools of thread, have a pin cushion in one corner and a place for scissors, needle case in the lining of the lid. I will post pics when it is finished. I am also working on the linings for the hat boxes now that they have been sprayed with lacquer. I have also been doing Brazilian embroidery on some door/closet sachets.

Yesterday, I made the Harvest Apron from the MJF Ideabook-Cookbook-Lifebook. What really tickled me about it was the fact that I sewed it all on a treadle sewing machine! (My first time using one!) My best friend brought her grandmother's treadle sewing machine for me to care for and use since she just had it in storage. How awesome is that!!
