..finished it last night!!!
TADAAAAAA!
Closer shot of the fabric. Got the birdie print from a Farmgirl sister in Tote swap... It took almost a year to decide how to use that print for I love it! This bonnet is my own personal one.
I am loving this old fashioned style of bonnet with an updated fabric prints.. think I'll make a few more to add to my shop!

Oh Karieann...I LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS ONE!!! It is so much cuter than the first one. And I thought I really liked the first one and couldn't see how you could improve on it but you sure did! I think the colors make all the difference in the world! And I love the Birds! Oh, you must make more...they are just too adorable and I am sure you would have no problem selling them at all. Way to Go Girl!

Oh my gosh...I got so excited over Karieann's bonnet I forgot to tell you what I am working on today: I am working on packing. I get to go spend the weekend in Seattle for my Grand-daughters 2nd Birthday. I made her and her Mommy (whose birthday is next month...matching Poncho's) Of coarse they won't be wearing them until fall but they turned out so cute. I will have to take a picture of them trying them on.
So, have fun girls and I will chat with you later.
Blessings, ~peggy

I'm working on a Plarn crocheted tote bag. I'm about to run out of plarn so I'll be making more this evening. I'm also working on a re-creation of the WonderFile portable workstation on TV. I think they'll make great Christmas gifts for children to keep coloring books, colors, markers, activity pages, templates, stencils, etc. |

Amy, terrific tanks and bag.
I'm starting on some pinkeepers while I am finishing up the dolls -- can you all tell that I just don't have one project going? I work all day with people and solving problems and finding options for them, so when I get home I want to create in a different way, thus all the projects. This one uses 50's style gelatin molds, antiqued by my husband and scrap fabric and ribbons. I'm making it up as I go, so I'll let you know how they turn out.
My best to all of you delightful women -- hope simply shines from your posts. Suzanne |

Can't tell you how happy I am Karieann that you turned the pattern into these exquisite bonnets. I made them years ago and sold every one I made. Several went to a child who was allergic to the sun. It allowed her to go outside and play. Pioneer women had the right idea! Best to you, Sharon

Love the bonnets, Karrieann. Today I am washing and picking wool fleeces from my sheep. I am also harvesting some lavender for drying and some longer stemmed variety for weaving lavender wands. I really enjoy weaving the wands.
Blessings, Sheri

Ditto on "what is plarn?"
Finished one doll -- she has a hat that is adorable. I wrapped clothsline with one inch wide strips of cloth and then sewed it like a little basket on the sewing machine using a zig zag stitch. I'm just about to start on the pinkeeper and an angel doll -- she'll have red hair and purple clothes. She will be fun to make. Suzanne |

Triple ditto on "what is plarn?" Suzanne love the project you are going to do next! :+) Crafting, Needle work, multi-media art...is so relaxing to me. As well as reading, photography, and walking.
If I feel stressed at all...these activities are all cheaper than Therapy! LOL

Sorry Karrieann. My stepdad has been in the hospital and since my mom (Merry Heart Farm) has custody of my brother's children, I've had six kids this weekend. Can you say WORN OUT?!?
Plarn is Plastic yarn. You can make it out of plastic grocery sacks since those are most abundant. I've even seen a wedding dress made out of tall white garbage bags in a Knitting book. It's a great way to be creative while being good to our environment and not having to spend any money on yarn. They make fabulous pot scrubbers. That's on the My Recycled Bags website. |

Plarn sounds interesting to use. I'll have to think about that.
My pinkeeper in the individual gelatin mold looks like a lovely popover! I think my good friend will like it. She has a collection of pinkeepers that I have made for her, each with material that has meaning to her and to me. But the next one I make will have a smaller top. Suzanne |

Thanks for clearing up the Plarn question girls!
I had just never heard that term before. Ya, learn something new every day.

I'm with you on moving toward green- I too try to wait until the chemically ones run out but sometimes I just go ahead and go green when I realize that the chemical is potentially really harmful.
I'm crocheting dishclothes while watching tv with my husband. I'll save my doll project for the weekend. suzanne |

I am working on catching up on all my MJF forums and threads since being gone for a few days. It is amazing how much you miss out on in just 2 or 3 days. Wow! Also, knitting, embroidering and cleaning up around the house today. Still tired from my trip to Seattle. Loved being with the grand baby though. So much fun!

Whew! I've been busy! I just finished up all my swaps and now it's time to start working on Christmas presents. I did a redwork pillow and then on another site they had a merit badge swap but the merit badges had to be funny. I had to do four of them. I really wanted to keep the pillow. LOL!
