We have had a ton of rain here lately, so that's why I have been staying inside crafting. It has just barely started to warm up this week. Hopefully I can keep up on my projects with it getting warmer.
Beautiful projects Jamie! I agree with you. Almost time to get in gear for Christmas gifts!

We are having a whopping cool thunderstorm right now. Haven't seen one for a very long time. Loving it. I have great respect for these storms. My father was struck and killed bt lightning. |

Thanks Grace!
Betty, that is so scary. I'm sorry to hear that. Those storms can be very scary.
This weekend I'm hoping to get my sewing machine out and get some things stitched up for my UFO list. Also needing to make a hooded towel for my little guy.

Betty, thanks for that important reminder. We had a pretty big storm to day. Our little one just hates those big crackling thunder claps (so do i). We love the soft rumbles though :-).
Question: i need a cream colored plain fabric as an accent color for a table runner. I looked at the fabric store yesterday, but everything had subtle designs on it. I have some off white muslin, which looks good color-wise, but i feel like its just not fancy enough. What does everyone think? Will it look fine once finished? Is muslin used as a quilting fabric? I have thought of using it as a backing, but never on the front. I rarely use solid colors in my quilts, but i know they can look stunning. Is this what people use if they want an off white solid?
Oh, so many questions! At least it rained today so i was able to cut some fabric :-). Who knew i would be happy for a rainy day - aside from the awesome benefits for our gardens - it allowed me to catch up on some inside work that i have been sorely neglecting!

I have used muslin as the background fabric before. It depends on what the overall look of the quilt is. I use it for embroidery squares too. hope that helps

Denise Ann, it is a very folky, casual table runner so i think it will be fine. Thanks so much for replying!

My current long-term project. Someday - a year from now? - this will be "The Kiss" by Gustav Klimt, which is one of my favorite paintings.
I think I'm going to be heartily sick of yellow by the time I finish. :-)

Natalie,
One of my favorite paintings as well - that is a lot of yellow! Should be beautiful!

I have been busy stocking my Etsy Store, first item is seven sets of flannel baby blanket and burp cloths.
Next up will be dog bandanas that slip onto the collar, followed by table runners and aprons. It is going to be a busy few months.

Over the weekend I worked a little more on blanket. Sometimes I feel as if it's going to take me forever! Good thing I started now instead of a month before Christmas. I have also been contemplating about making the second one different now.
Looking good, Natalie!
Love the blankets and burp clothes, Jana! I seen them first in the UFO page.

Thanks guys! :)
My new projects will include a fleece blanket with wool felt applique, some more greeting cards, yo-yo paper clips and of course, more felt ornaments!
I finished up four things last night that have all been in varying stages of completion. One was my 4th knitted washcloth. I'm going to try a new pattern next!
The rest are as follows:
Dandelion Patter Felt Tissue Box Cover:
Heart Lavender Scented Sachet:
Holly Pattern Felt Ornament:
