OK, I am going to try this again. I wrote a nice long response to some of your stitching posts and then my computer ate it, I guess.
So here goes a shorter version.
I finished my first RedWork Tea-Towel and it turned out really cute. Pam, this pattern was from Jenny Hart's Sublime Stitching Craft Pad...which is 75 different Transfer Patterns. I found it on Amazon for $3.95 originally 12.95. Didn't you say that she was a friend of yours?
Remember me saying last week that I wanted a Three Wheeler Bike with a Basket on it? I told my husband today that I wish they weren't so expensive brand new...because I really want a new one. He said, "Well, we could get you a little girl's bike and put training wheels on it then you'd have an inexpensive three wheeler!" funny man!
It sure is nicer to embroidery in the summer verses knitting; the fabric is so much cooler! I am really enjoying it but have other projects that take my time too. As I am sure you all do too.
Well, looks like we are all happy stitchers with lots of it being done. I am thinking Christmas for a few different projects. Can't start too soon. Can you believe tomorrow is July 1st? WOW!
Blessings, ~peggy

Peggy- I'm with you, thinking about Christmas. I started making crochet covered hangers (very nostalgic for my family...Grandma made us some every couple of years and we all still have 'em), but kind of petered out here. I'm going to pull my crochet bag out again. I had a bumper lavender crop this year so I think hangers and some lavender sachets are going to be in the works. I picked up a couple of super soft pillowcases at rummage that I might use for the sachets. OOOOOH, I could make those little rice bag heating pad things with some lavender in them, too. That's quick and in my ever-tightening budget. Now, what for the fellas???

Finished up the chicken cross-stitch ornie and almost done with the cardinal ornie. Put projects aside to add new stuff to my etsy shop. (This takes way too much time) I'm on holiday for 4 days, so I plan on finishing up the cardinal and finish an apron I've been working on. Will post pics when I get new batteries for my camera.
Too much to do, too many un-finished projects, too little time. I love my life. :o)

Today I have been working on A Christmas potholder for a swap.
Also, I bought a Vintage 1947 Schwinn three wheeler bicycle today! I am so excited. It needs some work but over-all is in pretty good shape for as old as it is. It is older than me...so you know that must be really truly Vintage. LOL

Hi, I started some overalls today -- bright red. Put the pockets in wrong but came up with a fix. At least I think it will work.
I also started some embroidered roosters. I like having hand work for tv time with my husband. We don't watch much in the summer, but in the winter I get a lot of stuff done. The roosters are very elegant in their finery and will be fun to pick up when I can.
Life is so very good today. Suzanne |

I am working on a pair of socks for my daughters birthday. I have one finished and the second one well underway. The weather has finally warmed up so I am skirting fleeces and washing wool from my sheep for spinning. Later today I will be picking strawberries (yum)

I admire those of you who knit. My grandmother was a great knitter -- doing so to keep her arthritic hands in shape. I have many of her mittens still. I think I'll make a collage of them on a wintery fabric for a wall hanging -- one more project. I am not a great knitter. I knit doll hair and sometimes a prayer shawl. Suzanne |

WHAT AM I WORKING ON TODAY? Laundry...can any one relate? Ha ha!
Suzanne...I started on knitting scarves, then 38 various colored prayer shawls, and branched out of from there. I can't read patterns for sick'em, I am a visual learner...so if somebody shows me how to make something I can crank it out. I am forcing myself to learn to read patterns though. Starting with simple wash clothes is a great way. And they are fun to make. I swap lots of them too. In two weeks time on the Swap and Barter I swapped out 40 wash clothes. So, don't say you aren't a great knitter...if you can do prayer shawls you are an OFFICIAL KNITTER in my book sister!
Hugs, ~peggy

Well its 100F and we do not have central AC, so have been doing little projects so as not to get overheated. The house is a mess - too hot to do vigorous cleaning by far - but I mended a tear in some PJ pants, sewed small bias tape loops onto the waistbands of my half aprons so I can hang them, stitched some vintage embroidered ribbon on a pair of pillowcases, and am knitting a lacy cotton kimono-style cardigan now. All with my feet in a pan of cold water while sitting in front of a fan, of course. Oh I also printed up a bunch of canning jar labels (from my Farm Kitchen post).

Today I was working on a baby blanket that I started back in January. It's coming along, but it's really big, so it definitely will take some more time. God's Blessings, Megan aka Loretta Rae

I AM WORKING ON STAYING COOL TODAY! Joanna...I wish I were a snowman today...I feel the trickle of the melt-down but not the benefit of the cold body. LOL
I am also working on taking apart a small stuffed bird that I made ions ago (ornament size)...I need this one for a new pattern and then I plan to make some new ones only with some modern touches to them.
And I have one of my Crafting Groups tonight...so, I will be embroidering on my tea-towel later in the evening.
I would love to see some of your purses posted too!!!
Blessings, ~peggy

I am working on a Christmas Quilt for my daughter. I need embroidery patterns to fit on a 9 x 9 block of cartoon mice. Anything will do. Have the Aunt Martha's patterns and a couple more. Anybody got any ideas besides clip art. I have tried and spent way to much time searching the clip art with no luck.
