Today I put out 8 rolls of hay in the freezing cold....but the rain held off. Now its dark and I am home with my paper work. I have high hopes of having all of it ready for the tax person by the end of January. I am always filing for an extension but not this year. Keep your fingers crossed. After I work here for an hour then I am going to do some hand sewing and then read in bed under the electric blanket and my mothers quilt.

Hugs and prayers,

I just dropped off two knitted scarves, one shawl and fifteen knitted pairs of baby hats and booties to a local shelther. It's starting to get cold around here (I hate cold) I just hope that someone get's some use ut of them. Now my fingers are busy making more.

I just finished crocheting a scarf for my mother for Christmas. I've also made 20 dish cloths in Christmas colors, which I am going to bundle around a small bottle of hand lotion to give to my fellow teachers. I think I might head over to the merit badge link after this. Happy Thanksgiving to all of you!

Blessings,

I just finished a device to stuff plastic bags in. I found it on the Sew4Home website. They have some really neat things to quickly make. I don't know what I will do with it yet, but it will be gifted.

soon as the last of my house guests leave (on Sunday) I plan to hit the sewing/craft room hard & heavy...
I found some cute wool felt snowmen ornaments to make, so I am thinking that will be my lil gifts,,, personalized wool felt snowmen & women... :>)

In the mean time I will continue to peek in here to 'borrow' ideas! :>)

I've been working on dyeing yarn from black walnut hulls. I took it out of the dyepot today, it's been steeping for 7 days. You can see pictures and follow along on my blog at http://brightmeadowknits.blogspot.com/2013/11/dye-lot-26-continued.html

"HANKIE BUNTING" I made for our little glamper, using some that had belong to my late sister-in-law and my late mother-in-law.
Made it so that I didn't cut up or do something permanent with the hankies in case I want them to be hankies again.

Kelly, they are so simple to make. Check the Sew4Home website and look for Plastic Bag Keeper/Dispenser. There is a tutorial on how it's done. I follow the instructions and add my own touches. You will love the results.

I made a small bag for carrying knitting accessories like stitch holders, needle gauge, stitch markers, tape measure, scissors, etc. to put into my knitting bag. I was pleased with the way it came out.

I hit a MAJOR score finding this vintage Roy Rogers, Dale Evans and Trigger tablecloth - love it! This was one of my mom's favorite shows, so I snapped up the table cloth on ebay and made some picnic placemats and napkins in coordinating fabric. Simple but cute. The placemats roll up for toting and have two pockets on the inside surface - one to tuck the napkin in and one for plastic flatware. I'm happy to say that in their retirement, my parents go on lots of picnics, so they'll make good use of these.

Sorry for the extra posts. I'll do an advance "yippee" in case it worst and an "oh drat" if it doesn't.
