I know I saw a seed catalog last year that sold a seed mix of grains for chicken feed for small scale farmers. Does anyone know who this is, where I can find it, or have any idea of what a good mix to plant would be? My girls need more greens! Thanks!

Sandhill Preservation Center sells some mixes for brooder yards. The seed is listed in their seed catalog under Specialty, chicken treats I think.

Hi Shari,
I had a thread about this a little while ago. http://www.maryjanesfarm.org/snitz/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=39029

If you are a magazine buyer or browser, I believe the current Mother Earth News had an article about growing chicken food too.
