Is it possible for a person to get too much iron from cooking all the time with cast iron? It's about all I use now plus a few stainless steel pots. I was just wondering.

My mom used cast iron my entire childhood and I never had a problem and she and my dad have certainly not had a problem and they are in their 80s

I think aluminum cookware is suspected of having an adverse affect on our brains but nothing has been attributed to cast iron. My mom used it and so have I and I've just had my 65th BD so........However, I am a bit eccentric from time to time. LOL

Blessings, from a country woman in the city. Gayla

Well, thank you all for your answers. And Gena, too funny, girl! I love my cast iron. I use it all the time. It cleans so easy and is just the best all around cook ware.

I have not used aluminum in years. Only stainless steel and cast iron here.
