Hmm... good question. It's all a matter of how WE see ourselves. A better guage would be to ask our friends and family what THEY think we're good at! But, since they're not around right now (ahh... the house is SOOOO quiet!) I'll ask MYSELF--

I'm REALLY good at learning new things. The drawback to THAT is, once I LEARN something, I wanna move onto something NEW! INOW-- I rarely finish what I start. (you should see my craft totes CRAMMED with UFO's-- (un-finished-objects), not to mention my RAINBOW colored Kitchen!).

I AM a good friend, though sometimes I DO revert to "Cave-woman" mode and don't want to talk to, see, or hangout with ANYBODY!

I'm good with kids and animals-- they LOVE me for some odd reason, maybe 'cause I FEED them! (LOL!).

But the thing I'm BEST at? I can make you LAUGH UNTIL YOU PEE YOUR PANTS!!!!! Hey, that's a GREAT gift! Laughter is what keeps us all young, right?!!!! If that's the case, I'm going to stay young F-O-R-E-V-E-R!!!!!!

Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away. ~~ George Carlin

Tracy I can relate to the cave woman thing. Once I get home from work, weekends and the summer (I work in a school) I really like just staying home. My animals never irritate me cause they love me just the way I am

Most days it doesn't feel like much!

I would say...

Planning, but not necessarily doing
Patience and cool, calm, and collected
Standing up to people who try to control thru intimidation
Positive attitude

Folks say I make a durn good pint of jam and jelly. It's been reported that some have sat down and consumed entire jars with a spoon in one sitting! My specialties are wild blackberry jelly (seedless) strawberry jam, raspberry jam, and blueberry jam.

I make cookies like my grandmother did. The freezer is always stocked! The recipe is memorized.

I'm pretty good at taking care of my dog. Folks say she has great manners (took LOTS of hard work and training)

And my chicken's beautiful eggs are proof positive that I must be doing something right.

I am one of the best friends you will ever have. I can spoil someone rotten and make them feel loved up......unconditionally

I would say I'm pretty good at crocheting, I can make a mean homemade macoroni and cheese, and I'm was one of the best free throw shooters on my basketball team.

You know, I was reading over all the post here on this blog, and it's just wonderful the things everyone can see in themselves as positive. I think that is something I'll have to add, "to my what am I good at" list. I just realized that I am now good at liking who I am and what I do. I use to compare my success to what others have accomplished and never could reach it. But where I am right now in my life, I'm happy and confortable. Being creative and loving and caring toward my family and friends and letting my faith guide me. Cheers!!! to all of us in each adventure we take and share with each other. Have a wonderful day just being yourself!!

I always find it really hard to say I'm good at something because it always sounds like I'm bragging. And I never mean it that way. For me to say that I'm good at something I have to be perfect. No flaws or anything like that. So it was really, really hard for me to do this but I thought it would be good for me because I never look at what I'm good at, Only what I can't do. Anyway, Thank your for all joining in the fun!
Hugs,
Channah

Channah, you are really good at getting people to communicate and interact with each other, and sweetie, that is a GIFT.

I am one of those who doesn't want to "toot my own horn", but since we are being positive and inspiring to each other, here goes: Hmmmmmm... I am good at knitting, cooking, baking, and making others feel welcome in my home, I am good at starting a conversation, I am good at being a mom (best gift of all!!!!), and I am good at organizing, and making things look pretty. :) I am also a supreme bargain-finder, according to some of my girlfriends!

Channah, you are a really good friend, and I've only been on here for a few weeks.
Brenda, there is nothing wrong with seeing that you're good at things. I admire you for being comfortable with your life.

Anna of Seagrove, NC. You live in such a beautiful area. Think I will drive down and get some of those home made goodies - LOL

I am good at being thrifty, cutting and coloring hair, I am good at being creative - I sew quilt tops, make crafts, paint with watercolors and chalks, write poems, embroidery, scrapbook. I am a good cook and I make nice sour dough starter. My 39 yo son finally thinks I am good at being his mother (:

Fun topic.

Anna, I just might take you up on the invite someday. I live about 4 hours from Seagrove. About 5 or so years ago a friend of mine and I took the pottery shop tour and went into the museum. It was a lovely trip. Dawn
