Did anyone have the luck to catch this? I ate lunch in my car in the rain and sleet to listen. She's an utterly incredible individual. I recommend anyone who might be interested in autism, our relationships with animals or the humane consumption/slaughter of our meat supply, go to www.NPR.ORG and look up the interview.

No, but they are having a movie about her on HBO in the next week or two that I am looking forward to. I will be going to the website when I get home tonight.

I've heard her a few times on our local talk radio too. Also saw the promo for the HBO thing but we don't have cable.

Her books are really great and have been somethuing i've been able to adapt to some of our animal husbandry practices at the zoo.

It's amazing. And I hear she is busy trying to work with pork and poultry producers now.

It's about time

I saw a little clip yesterday about a movie with Claire Danes playing her. It looked like a theater movie, though. Looks like a good movie that I would like to see.

The movie with Claire Danes is on HBO. I stayed up and watched the late airing on Saturday night because I forgot it was on. It is so good. Now, my hubby wants to see it, so we will be watching it again.

i dont have hbo, but was really interested in seeing this. and believe it or not, i cannot get pbs radio at the farm, we are a little too remote, ugh, well i guess we have to take the good with the bad.
have seen a 3 hour interview with her that was on cspan, several weeks/months ago. maybe some of you could check that out on their site.
thanks for posting this, jonni, she is an incredible person, with a perspective that could teach us all something i am sure.

I watched it on HBO - definately worth the time. What an amazing lady. Claire Danes did a fantastic job at portraying her. If you haven't seen it and have the opportunity to do so don't miss this one.
