most about yourself? We have alot of questions on what we would change or wish for in the future. What do you really like about yourself? For me I think it would be my honesty, I am never a phony about anything. Plus I do genuinely care about other people and animals and do my best to be kind. I won't back down from what I feel is right.

My sense of humor and my resilence.... I can laugh a lot "off" and find the humor in the most rediculous things and it is really hard to rattle me.. I think those are the things I like the most..

I suppose I like my silly sense of humor. And so far--knock on wood---I have never panicked about anything I just try to be calsm and get stuff done. And i believe in good--the good that is in everyone even if it is hidden way way down somewhere. I like me. MB

I think.... I like the fact that I am a "real" person... WYSIWYG (What you see is what you get)... I really truly like people and love to help, and be there for others... I am going to accept you as you are and you don't have to hide what you think in front of me.... I basically am a person like, "Come on in, sit down and be comfortable!" when you come into my home. I'm pretty much a friend to anybody! And it's not hard for me to be "good" .... I really don't get that about some people... Why is it so hard to be "good"? LOL.

Sense of humor is probably #1. Able to relate to people of all ages. My grandkids are between the ages of 22 and 32 and we have a great relationship. We talk about guns, cooking, sex, girls, boys, gardening and canning, politics, whatever. One day a grandson was here and he and I were canning pickles. His cell rang and he told his friend that he was with his Grandma and we were canning and drinking wine. His friend wants to help can next summer.

hmm...good question. I think I would have to say my go to it-ness. If I have a goal, I am pretty good at sitting down figuring out how to get from point A to point B and doing it. Of course, I am a pretty good delegator (so as long as others are willing to help...lol) most things get done.

Is this a good thing??LOL
hugs,
Jess

I'd have to say my patience and durability as a woman, mother and wife. Maybe it's because I am getting older...I do wish I had more control over what I say out loud.

Boy--this is something I don't think about at all....I usually think, "gosh, I wish I were more like "a" or "b"...and I'm flustered when people give me compliments about my nature. I guess I'd have to say that I'm pleased with my willingness to help, to give my time, myself, money in my pocket or the clothes on my back.

Hey, what I am hearing, we are all alot alike.
Someone just today said, "you are the most positive person I know". I really liked hearing that. I have been going through so much with my health and my parents. I have to stay positive, if not I would go crazy.

I love this! It is so wonderful to see women liking themselves, Saying positive and good things about ourselves. It feels good doesn't it? So many times all we think about is the negetive things. We have so many wonderful qualities we need to acknowledge too. Come on girls tell me some more!!

I smile a lot too! People often tell me on the phone that they can tell that I am smiling by the way I am speaking. I have been known to "giggle" as I talk.
This was a great question, and I have really enjoyed reading all of your responses so far. Thanks!

Sheila, it takes time to get to know yourself, we are all works in progress, different talents and attributes at different times. I visited your blogspot and see you are a talented, giving person. When you are focusing on others that doesn't leave as much time for introspection.

At the moment I like my capacity for patience, it has helped me through years as a wife, mom and elementary school teacher as well as dealing with surgery, chemo and recovery from breast cancer.

I think the thing I like most about myself is my genuine empathy for humans and animals. If I ask how you are doing I REALLY do want to know. I guess I never got the memo that it was just a polite think to say for most people! *wink* Also that I feel a duty to try and better my community. If I see something wrong I want to fix it. My husband doesn't really get this. His family was raised to mind their own business so I often frustrate him! LOL

I have a giving nature

I love to surprize people when they are expecting it least and generally just love people up.

Seems a bit overwhelming if you aren't used to it....and the kicker is.........I ask for NOTHING in return. Seeing people's reaction to freely giving gives me a high.

Am I crazy!?

thank you for your kind words you said !
well I am sorta down lately
I will try to be better
One thing I can say is
Being Christian I like the relation ship I have with God
the poems and devotionals He gives me.
I am a honest person
When I am out I try to smile at others and say a kind word.
So,
I guess there are some things that I need to thank God for in " my person"
After all God did create me.
in Psalms it says
I am fearfully and wonderfully made. hugs sheila

I think what I like most about myself is that I'm a survivor. I've been through experiences that would have killed some people, but I'm still here. I'm also pretty brave, and that has gotten me into trouble, but I like taking chances. I'm also kind to animals (and most people), especially those people who have been marginalized by society. And I like the fact that I love to read, love to consider other people's viewpoints, despite the fact that I'm very stubborn.

There are a lot of things I like about myself. My talent to make a silk purse out of a sow's ear, my empathy, my sense of humor, my ability to live in the moment. I think that the older I get, the more I like myself. I don't have to try to please anyone or worry what other's think of me. I see the younger women always worrying about those things and never seeming to relax and just be who they are. It must be something that comes with age, along with wrinkles, sags and gray hair!
