Does anyone have any yarn that they would be willing to donate to a worthy cause? I am a 66 year old retired special edu. teacher who is doing volunteer work knitting, crocheting, Loom Knitting hats, scarves, etc. for www.KnitandCrochettn.com who distributes donations to individuals needing those.

My friend and I have used our stash and donated over 250 items; however, we are about out of yarn.
If anyone has yarn that they would be willing to donate to us, please reply. Thanks.

Have a blessed week.

Hi! I have a huge stash and would love to help out. The website doesn't specify a preference for content (acrylic, wool, wool blends, etc.) I also have lots of single and partial skeins. Would these be of use?

Please email me, and I'll start getting some packages together.

Have a great day!

I know people may think it is strange that I want to know when things are mailed. But we travel quite abit to our children's homes and I have someone watching for mail for me so I get it all. I ride and knit and knit and knit and crochet.

Thanks,
GAyle

Gayle,
An 18 pound box of yarn has been sent out today. It was shipped via Fedex. Inside the box you will find a nice stash of yarns. You will also find two projects that I started. One is a sweater and the other was a throw. Both come with direction. But please, don't be afraid to pull them apart.
A number of years ago I enjoyed making blankets and throws and giving them as gifts. But now I am more into sewing/quilting.
Anyway, I will email you tomorrow with a tracking number. From NJ to TN it should only take 4 days. So maybe you will have it friday.
I do have one request. Could you please post some photos of the items that you make. I think it would be nice to share with us all the gifts you will be donating.
Thank you

Thanks so much, Kathy. I will be looking for the pkg. Thanks for sending tracking number since we have been having some bad weather here...........4 to 9 ins. of snow depending upon where you are and ice on that and more expected this coming weekend............great weather to do knitting, etc but TN is just not prepared for all this.

This is just amazing...........that will make alot of hats, blankets, etc.

I will try to put some pix on. I am not sure how to do that, but will try.
We donate to the following people www.knitandcrochettn.com thru the Hillsboro Church of Christ Knitwitters org. We read about this and wanted to get involved as we are both not able to do alot of physicaL WORK.

I love to quilt and appliqued 4 quilts last year. I have three more grandchildren to go and one daughter to do for yet. So I will be pc. quilts in the daytime and knitting at night. My arthritis in right wrist has almost gotten to the point where I cannot crochet for very long at a time.

Take care and God Bless.

Gayle, I mailed your box today. Mailed priority, should be there in 2-4 days. May take longer. We received 7.5 inches of snow here monday and more to come on thursday. I'll be gathering up some more for you as I continue to spring clean my closets on these snow days at home. I'm getting it done so I can enjoy spring outside when it gets here. I'm glad to see that other women are sending you yarn. I look forward to hearing about what you have made and seeing some pics someday. Take care and happy knitting. Georgina

Thanks so much for the yarn that you mailed and for the future yarn you may find and send us. We can use it all. It seems that more requests come in from the Salvation Army, Room at the Inn, and other shelters daily. Thanks and God Bless.

Enjoy Spring.

Thanks to everyone who has sent yarn and plans to in the future.
My 63 yr. old friend has had the time of her life this last week with some yarn that mailed to us. I have been babysitting with grandchildren and let her have yarn........to decide what to combine, what to put her yarn with, what to put my yarn with, etc. This has just helped her so much. I have used it too, but she suffers from depression and this has helped so much. Thanks for all you and what you have done for the two of us.

Thanks MeadowCrone. Y ou are the best. We will be happy to get it. We are working as fast as we can.

You got the pictures that I sent I hope of the hats we had made last week. Well, today a request from a missionary in Afghanistan sent a request for 100 baby hats so we are off to help fill that order.

Thanks to all of you that have sent yarn and gift card. I have received all the yarn and the Walmart card. This helps us out so much. We were asked yesterday to do as many baby hats as possible. So today, I finally got to the post office to get my mail (holiday and snow/ice) and low and behold............2 boxes yarn, 1 pkg. and 1 gift card. Thanks so much. If any of you find anymore, please pass along. Thansk.

God Bless.

Kathy,
I know that you sent me a message that you had found another white skein you were sending. I have lost track of time and should i have received it by now? Please advise if I should have.

There is a horrible stomach flu going around here and in LA and some other places. My husband has ahd it and I have been in with him for two days so when I feel like doing anything, I am working on more hats. I hope that no one has it.

Thanks,
Gayle
