Could we have a merit badge on photography? Maybe with an emphasis on storing/keeping them safe. I know everybody has stacks & stacks of photos, plus many more stored on computers! We sometimes don't tackle it because it's such a big project. Working towards a badge could break it down into bite-size pieces.

We could start with sorting our pictures and making a mini-album, then researching safe archiving techniques, and maybe hosting a scrapbooking party, or even a weekend retreat.

My other badge suggestion is finances. Much that we as farmgirls do is already thrifty, but we could focus specifically on our money. Make a simple budget. Research ways to do that. Put together an envelope system for cash. Pick one item that you need and save all extra money (loose change?) for it until you can pay cash for it. That sort of thing.

Kyria, another finance suggestion would be to start with, lets say $100.00, and then you must keep a list showing how far you stretched that $100.00 in a month.
How thrifty can you be with that $100.00?
At the end of the month do you have any left? If so how much?

Something like that...

Well this is the time of year for your suggestions. We generally only add badges twice a year, at the beginning in January and mid way around July. So we have heard you loud and clear. We are currently adding some new components to the Farmgirl-Sisterhood Merit program and we will see what we can do for these GREAT suggestions...
