I am reading "No Life for a Lady" by Agnes Morley Cleaveland. I highly recommend it for all FarmGirls! She was born in 1874 in New Mexico and grew up in the Wild West. She writes about it with a humor and matter-of-factness that is just a joy to read.

Unfortunately, I borrowed it from a friend, so I can't tell you where to get it, but it's worth looking for!

Kyria, I got this book when I used to live in New Mexico and I thought it was good too. It's interesting to imagine what life was like back then on the frontier. They were stong women who did what had to be done to keep a household going. What we take for granted! Dana
