Nora got an educational "laptop" for Christmas from her grandmother. One of the games it has on it is a maze game. The child has to use a "mouse" (aka joystick with a cover on it that looks like a mouse) to move a dot through a maze to a block of cheese. Nora thinks the cheese looks like a Castle so she calls it her Castle game.
Anyway at first she needed me to help her get into the game (You have to push a button then move the mouse over to select the game then click) then she needed help completeing the first level which was pretty easy.
Now, not even a month after she recieved the laptop, she can get into the game herself and complete all levels! Some of the levels (I think there are either 6 or 10 levels) get pretty intricate. So I hope puzzle solving is something that helps brain developement! LOL

What a smart girl, if I remember right, those types of puzzle solving games are good for math skills. Go Nora!!

So cute! You must be very proud of Nora! Poor Violet--she got all these adorable toys from Grams/Gramps at Christmas, and she still would rather play with a roll of papertowels, or bang two balls together :)

Jonni, that's the way mine were. Give them a box and they could play for hours. We would get big appliance boxes from stores and they would make forts or cars or rockets. They had a ball with them. Til they fell apart. Then we's get another one. Such fun. And the wrapping paper was the best part of the present.

Alee, that's great! Kids are so smart and adaptable to all the new technology. She'll be programming the vcr/dvd player soon.
