Are you all around the type ???
I am so frustrated !
Not only do I live with one or two
but my brother .
I have 3 older brothers
One the next to me lives with my mom
I am sorry he divorced his wife years ago.
but I know what led to that , and I must say I am on my SIL
side.
Though I love my brother
He can be so hard to get alone with just like my son
any ways
I take Mom out every Tuesday as most of you know to do her errands etc.
All brother does is fuss , fuss fuss.
about how long we are gone, about how much food she buys
( Which she does ; just being her and him)
He by the way has lost his license and can't drive anymore
I have taken Mom out since I could drive
Anyways
What business is it to him how much she buys ; what she buys
or where she goes
I told him so in so many ways
He just laughed
Made me want to smack him, lol
any ways
not only son is hard to live with so is he
So
How many lives with hard to get alone with people
I know
I grip to much ; but I think that My Farm Girl Sister's understand
I never had sisters.
so
Yall are my Adopted sisters !! hugs sheila

Sheila--I understand where you're coming from. Sometimes my parents fuss over such little things, like whether or not my mom/dad did/did not say something about nothing. If that makes sense. LOL but usually, it just makes me want to cry. I never had any sisters either, just brothers. I now have two SIL's, but they're both very materialistic. I'm the "poor" person in my family and my SIL's look down on me because of it. they're fussy too, about their clothes and hair and having all the latest toys and technological toys for their kids. Maybe that's the reason I live by myself and prefer it that way--my dog never fusses at me! It wouldn't be so bad if my parents were arguing about religious or political views--at least that's something meaningful. But they fuss over the most unimportant things. If you ask them a question about religion, they go blank. It gets on my nerves, but that's the family i was born into, and while it wasn't always happy, at least it was stable. It does get very frustrating at times though. I don't think you gripe too much--I think you've blossomed since I joined this forum. And we all need to vent at times. So feel free to express your frustration with petty people. I think everyone here probably feels the same way at times. Sometimes that "griping" is really the expression of a sensitive heart.

I know what you mean about wanting to cry
and I do understand what you are saying about your family too.
Seems the harder we try to get alone with them the worse it gets .lol
I do love all of my family ,
Expect sometimes it is very hard to.
Thanks for the nice comment.
Thanks Rene

I understand the dilemna of loving your brother because he's your brother, but being frustrated by something he does. I'm torn this morning about how to deal with his political views. Facebook has afforded me to keep up with old friends and schoolmates, but lately my brother has been remarking on political matters that I just don't agree with ... nasty comments about those in government that I admire. I'm torn between just dropping my facebook page and losing all the friends and relatives I've found this way, or dropping my brother from my friends which would insult him. We live far away and are years apart in age so its always been difficult to make that connection. I haven't come up with a solution yet but definitely working on it. My opinion is that facebook should just be a fun way to connect with the people you love and find out how they are doing, what they are doing and to provide support to them (something like this site). Any suggestions sisters?

Hide your brothers comments on facebook. Just hit the hide and then he should be hidden from you. I did that with some facebook friends who took over the page so I just hid them but they are still on my games and address.
I am also the only girl besides mom in my family. I have 3 brothers. If we don't agree we just say time to switch topics, and it's dropped. I have 3 really good brothers and my dad was the best. I guess that makes me very lucky...

Hope all your days are Sunnydays.

Thanks for the tip Diane. I'll give it a try. That would be the perfect solution as he wouldn't know then that I had hidden him.
