My sister in law works at a lumber yard making drawers and ran her hand through a planner. (or something like that) I guess her hand looks like hamburg. The worse part was after the ambulance came they had a 45 minute drive to the hospital and is waiting to be seen she has been there over 4 hours. My brother said the place was packed so they'll all be all going home with extra germs and they have a 2 hour drive to get home. Please say a prayer they have patience & that her hand can quickly heal
Hope all your days are Sunnydays. dianebcarterhotmailcom.blogspot.com |

Oh Diane . . . ouch!!! I hope that there is SERIOUS damage to nerve, tendons, etc. My hubby is a carpenter, welder, blacksmith and knifemaker. His shop is FULL of those big power tools and equipment . . . so far he has been kept safe from serious injury. I just pray he remains so. Yes, keep up updated!! I WILL PRAY!!!! CJ

I hope her hand isn't damaged too badly. After running my own cabinet business for 16 years - we were very lucky and only had one injury and it wasn't too serious. I will keep her in my prayers. Please keep us posted on the extent of her injuries.
Blessings, Sheri

Prayers are on the way. I am hoping the damage looked worse than it actually is. It can be hard to tell when there is pain and blood and shock. If her injury was very severe she should have been at the front of the line in the ER. As much as I like country living, when someone is injured you want them to be close to help. Let us know how she is doing!

Sue's chart said hand laceration, not mmachine mangled hand so she wasn't seen until 10 pm. They sewed her hand and fingers tendions ect. for over 3 hours, wrapped her up and sent her home so at 4 AM my husband picked them up and brought them here for the night because they told her not to eat or drink anything that she may need more surgery. She only took 1 Ibprofin with a sip of water because of the pain finally at noonish they called and said she could eat and they wanted to see her at 1PM on friday. She was really lucky, she had shut the machine off and put her hand in to clean off some glue but the blades were still turning so basically the flesh was peeled from the bones the nerve endings & tendions to the middle 2 fingers were cut the thumb & pinky finger lost skin but they should be healed OK Now its just prayers and time that is needed. Thank-you for your prayers & concern.

I'm so glad she is going to be ok. Your post sounded bad (not that the injury isn't bad). I'm glad you and hubby are nearby to help them! (((HUGS)))

Your prayers are working. Sue goes again to the dr's on Friday she will find out more information but it looks like the middle 2 fingers are there but will not work so they will curve them so that she can hold things. The other 2 fingers & thumb will be scarred but they should work. At least she has them. Thank God!!
