The campground in Pepin, WI said they are filling up fast with seasonal camping.
Individual sites need to make resevations soon. There are still tent campning sites available.

Did anyone watch the Little House Marathon on the Hallmark channel last weekend? It was great...hours and hours of Prairie Life! I want to dress like that!

I just booked a room at the Great River Amish Inn in Pepin, Wisconsin. I can't wait to meet all you wonderful ladies!

Hi Julie,
I spoke with 'Mary" a few months ago and now I get the recording at Village Hall.
The Pepin site does not open unitl May 3rd and you can't leave a message.
If you have any suggestions please pass them along.
We want to provide service for a 501c3 charitable organization.
The site is a 501c3 or we can help a church or food pantry , etc.
In Walnut Grove we will be painting a very small one room school house. Hope everyone pitches in with this one so we can finish in a timely manner. It is red and white so it will be cute.
I think I am going to bring a WORK APRON that I won't mind ruining.LOLOL It will be an apron with character !!

I will see what I can do. Maybe I will drive up and speak with someone in person. Is there anything I should know besides that we need a 501c3 charitable organization? And should we be mentioning this to a newpaper for publicity? Just wondering... maybe it would pull in more Farmgirls.
As for the Great River Amish Inn... there were 3 double rooms left for $75 a night per room. It includes a microwave and coffeemaker in the room.

I have hooked up with ClaireSky and we are splitting the room! She offered me to stay at her house the night before since I have a long drive to get there. Aren't farmgirls the greatest! I can't wait to meet up with you all. Painting the schoolhouse will be fun. I am a decorative painter and muralist. Are we just painting it or can we do something fun?

Miss Fiddlehead, glad you are joining us! The school painting is at the walnut grove, mn site before we get to pepin. I don't think we get to take creative liscense asnit is being painted red with white trim I believe !

If you are camping in a tent @ the Ingalls Homestead in DeSmet and Plum Creek campground in Walnut Grove, you don't need to make reservations. Plum Creek is 1st come 1st serve only if you are tenting! Ingalls Homestead said they won't turn tenters away!

OK, I figured out a way to get my Little House fix. I am a 4th grade teacher, and I think next year I am going to have an after school Little House book club. We could read one book a month starting in September and do projects that go along with the books. I was even thinking of coming up with merit badges too!

Amy, I think you should have a "little house" book club here on MJF in the reading section... and we could do little projects along with the book. I for one would love to join. It's been a long, long time since I have read the books.

Thank you . There are farmgirls still sending me RSVPs for the tour.
Most are for the day or two days, Some are even for two sites.
Thank you to everyone who has sent me an RSVP for the Meet and Greet catered meals. This will help the caterer so much!!!!
I have 88 quilt charms ready to trade. I think I bought 2 yrs and had a sale coupon, so I will have plenty.. I hope.
