I'm looking for a water bath canner that has a thermometer so I can monitor temperature. I need it for making persnickity salt-rising bread that has to be kept at a constant temperature. If anyone has one they can part with, let me know! Thanks

can you use a regular water bath canner and attach a thermometer or maybe is it possible to use a pressure cooker? I've never heard of a canner with a thermometer already on it. Hope you find what you are looking for. :)

well, it has to sit overnight, so it has to be something that can plug in and regulate the temperature. I think a pressure cooker might be too hot - it can only be about 100 degrees - but I'll check into that idea. Thanks!

Can you use a crockpot/slow cooker with a low setting? Airtight and thermostat control. |

Deana, I'm going to try that and see if it works. I've had mixed results using an oven light left on - sometimes that works and sometimes not. I'll post how it goes with the crockpot.
