I got a new computer a few months back and just recieved my free upgrade to windows 7, which I'm anxious to install and started too till a window popped up about windows mail? Now, I have and love Outlook Express, it's been my main email server for over 10 and I don't want to lose it, by installing the new windows 7, will I lose my outlook express? Someone told me they are doing away with OE? If you have windows 7 what email service comes with it? Thanks all in advance!

I had the same problem. I think they are merging the OE to fit the components of Windows 7. I am so not a techie, but I had to have my internet server come out and merge the two. They didn't charge me a thing for it. Call and see if they will do that for you. My email is now called Windows Live Mail, but it's all the same. I love my OE too, it was easy, but I'm getting the hang of the new way.

And yes, my XP programs are NOT compatible with Windows 7. So, I'm in the process of learning new things there too. I know that I get stuck in a rut. I kinda wish I stayed with XP, but...I know in time it's gonna be obsolete like everything else. So I went with the newer version.

Thanks girls, sounds like I may stay with XP for awhile, I'd hate to change my email after 10 years and some are saying XP programs aren't compatiable? I just may stay put for awhile till they figure out all the bugs?

It had been a pain for me since some of the programs I use for my business dont work on the new computer. My client database program doesnt have a newer version to work with 7.
