One of our laying hens has broken her outside toe. Would you leave alone or try to splint it? Any advise would be greatly appreiciated.

Leave it alone, anything you put on there will be picked at by her and the other hens, and if they draw blood, they will not stop picking.

Yep, I'd leave it alone, too. You don't want to draw attention to it. I had a few crooked toed hens. They were just fine. How'd she break it anyway?

Thanks for the advise. She seems to be moving and scratching and walking without limping so we have left it alone.
Kris- We do not know what happened to her. It has been so cold here that they have not been outside the coop for 3 weeks. Oh plus the snow is at least 1 foot deep in their outside run. This is our first injury so my DH made sure there wasnt anything that looked dangerous in there.
