Jessica, just say "sign me up" here and in a few days I'll be asking everyone for their mailing info. for the master list, in the mean time, you can get started on making your cards, right now I'd plan on at least 20 maybe more but if you have extras treat your friends and family to them. Nan, just be careful when making the cards, keep in mind how they will be handled in mailing, if you have any protruding pieces they may get broken when the mail goes through the machines at the post office. I learned the hard way in the first year when I made all my cards and matching envelopes, they were too small and came back to me, also if you use red ink like I did for a more festive look, it does take longer for the machine to read the color red? Keep them standard size at least and above all, have fun making them! Enjoy!

Thanks for the heads up "junebug". I think that mine will mail okay. If the cards are smaller than standard I think it would work to put them in a standard envelope for sending as long as the weight was still okay. What do you think? That would also add a bit of extra protection.

keep searchin'-it's out there somewhere.

Something has come up and I hate to do this, but I am going to have to bow out of this swap. I hope you ladies have a fun swap. I hope someone will post pics of some of the new Valentines. They will be so neat to see. Hopefully I will be able to participate in the next go around.

Junebug- I'm going to send you an email just to make sure you know that I will no longer be able to join in.

I am sorry to say I am going to need to drop out of this swap. I was hoping my budget would allow it, but it just isn't meant to be this time around. Another time, then! :)

Enjoy the swap!!

Mary :)

Hi Sue!
I trust you got my address information also. I had a wonderful chilly, rainy, sleety FL day yesterday and it was a great day to begin the Valentines! I made fifteen of the Valentines...and loved the process. Each one seemed to create itself...loved the artistic mystery unfolding! So excited to send them!!
Thanks,
Jess

Ok, here's the list so far, granted I'm still waiting on some info from others but if you see your name on the list, then you know I have gotten your email and you are good to go! If you don't see your name on the list below, then I'm still waiting on your mailing info and email addy. I'll wait a few more days before sending out the list. I also posted this swap on my blog, so the names will be a mix of farmgirls and blogges making it extra fun!

So far, 11 bloggers have signed but I'm still waiting on several so that number may change but it gives you a idea of just how many valentines to make, so far, about 24?

Oh dear! I had such high hopes of doing a crochet edge valentine like these:

But 24! I'd never get them done! Back to the drawing board!

I think the first year we did this it was in the 30's. I expected more than 24.

Yep, I just checked my 2007 list and there were 35.

I guess I wasn't paying attention, I didn't know it was open to bloggers too so I was only counting up the people I saw signing up via this thread. Luckily I have a TON of pink crepe paper!
