We are having prime rib and this is something we don't usually serve and I am wondering what goes well with it besides mashed poataoes?

How about horseradish mashed potatoes instead of just mashed potatoes. We are having the same thing, so I'll give you my menu :)

Horseradish mashed potatoes
Hot marinated green beans
corn pudding
fresh rolls
cheesecake for dessert
