| EGR relatives are the ones that "extra grace required." My Dad and I have not spoken in over a year and it hurts my heart. We quit speaking when I became his durable power of attorney for financial and meadical. I fixed his finances and was saving him $1400 per month. He got mad at me (after I told him) when I stopped his mail so I could get everything cleaned out. I found out that he was being scammed for $500 per month. He has some distant (very) relatives living in his backyard and when he got mad at me he made them (backyard) the POA. I tried to talk to him and see if we could make up and he said no. I finaly gave up and keep saying my prayers for me and for him. What to do? |

Sometimes you just have to have faith that God will sort this out and just keep praying.
I understand how you feel, going through a similar thing with my brother.

Of course you miss your Dad! Remember to keep the faith that you carry in your heart and soul. God hears you, sees you and knows the pain that you endure for your dad. Keep praying and have faith and believe that God's timing is always perfect!

Suzie, I am so sorry that you are experiencing this with your dad. I am the POA and Attorney in Fact for my mom. I did this with her permission, because she fell and is in a rehabilitation center. Before my mom's fall, she fell victim to identity theft. The crooks took over my mom's accounts, and were able to change the home address over the phone since they had all of my mom's important information. It is sad that your dad doesn't realize that you are looking out for him. I pray that your dad will come to realize that you did it out of your love for him.
