It has a plastic-like surface. I was considering using it for the lining of a cosmetic case. My sister-in-law wants me to design one for her. Any other ideas - its in good shape but has a drawstring and keeps coming loose. I finally got fed up with it and bought a better one.

I think is is teflon so I would use it for pot holders.

Why not cut it up and make pot holders with additional fabric. It's heat resistant.

A carrier for a casserole. Just use it as the lining with the side that used to face up on the board facing toward the inside of the carrier so it reflects the heat back to your dish. Made two with matching potholders and oven mitts as shower gifts years ago.

Prayer costs nothing, but is worth the most.

Take out the elastic if you can or cut out as large a flat piece as possible and use it to iron quick items on your table or counter instead of hauling out the ironing board. I've done this for years when I just need to do a quick touch-up on something.

Those are both good ideas, too.
