I was beginning to wonder about my blue cuckoo marans but she did me proud today. A little bitty egg was in the nest, next to the larger one from my RIR. Good job, Franny!

Yeah Franny! You go girl! I have heard about those Maran eggs being really pretty. My welsummer laid beautiful almost red eggs. I'm so happy for you, Kimberly. And Franny, too.

So far, Franny's eggs (all two of them) have been tiny and very pale brown. I had hoped they would be that great chocolate, terracotta color but an egg is an egg! Thanks guys!
