Have any of you read this? I have a copy from when I was little and a very old copy that I posted a picture of on my site. I don't think I have read it. So I was thinking I would read my Grandma's old copy from 1889. I read my other Children's books that I have when I was little but I don't recall reading this. So Now I will read the big girl copy.

That's funny, Nancy, I'm reading it right now. I reorganized the library last week and found it. I didn't even know I had it!!! It's no Little Women or Little Men, but it's endearing, just the same.

I have it too. We're finishing up the Hobbit soon. I should see if my girls would like me to read this to them.

It is an adorable book! I love it! :) It has a sequel too, but I can't remember the name of it right off hand.
What fun!

i had a complete set of Louisa May Alcott when I was a young girl and read all of them over and over. They were one of my greatest treasures.
When I moved away to college my mother donated them and I was heartbroken when I found out. I always look in thrift shop and used book stores for replacements .

I've read everything by her several times. She's a favorite of mine. I've even been fortunate enough to visit her home where she wrote her wonderful books.

I love Louisa May Alcott and I always loved that book. I think the sequel is called "A Rose in Bloom" Might be time to read those again...

Eight Cousins was my favorite LMA book. Rose in Bloom is the sequel and it is good, too. Her books are so cozy good!
