I guess mine will be for peace. Silly maybe, but it makes me so sad to see people fleeing from safety. The world is a violent place....may there be peace and solace.

Annika- I don't think that is silly at all! We share the same wish. Peace. Peace has so many depths to it as well. Peace of the world, Peace in a country, peace within and between groups, peace at home, peace in interpersonal relationships and peace for the self. I wish there was true Peace for everyone.
Another thing that makes me sad is the thought of people losing their loved ones. My heart breaks along with others when they endure a loss. Especially the loss of a child. Loss through old age is inevitable and my heart still breaks but an early loss just seems so much more difficult. So I would also wish for no one to ever have to suffer the premature loss of a loved one.

I would like to see everybody have enough, meaning a safe home to live in, that is clean and meets their needs, clothing to wear, enough food to eat, a means to earn a living wage, education for their children, a community where they feel welcome, a country safe from conflict. I wish this for all humanity.

My deepest wish is too personal to share, but it does have a lot to do with peace. I think that that's what most humans are striving toward in their own way. Internal peace, familial peace, community peace, world peace.
Knitting mom hit it on the head for me, for a bit less personal wish. Those in my community and around the world having their basic needs for shelter and sustenance met and not being fearful for their physical safety.

That every child, in every country, have a warm bed to sleep in, a roof overhead that does not leak, enough food to be able to say "I'm full", a safe neighborhood to play in, parents that love them unconditionaly, a good school to attend, and a future of their choosing...........

I very much agree all of you but I would include the animals. Freedom from abuse, food to eat, freedom for those how should be wild and a good home for those of the domestic variety. And for those that we eat a painless and quick passing.

For every family to experience love, closeness, peace and trust in their own home - and a path to healing if that is needed. For no one to worry about getting good medical care, should they or a loved one become ill. For people to have meaningful work. For humanity to have a raised awareness of why it is better not to abuse one another. For Mothers & Fathers to be able to care for their children with the support and love they need - and strength to raise the next generation with security, education and values that will endure. For men and women to be loyal to one another and to their families. Real food filling the bellies of all humankind. For Fairness to become the norm. Inner happiness to become a valued asset so worthy it receives the attention of all nations. For las vegas to stop saying that what happens there, stays there, because it doesn't. For people to be safe and feel safe in their communities and lives. For no one to be cold, homeless, or desperate without family or friends or community to turn to for safety. For every aching heart, a measure of grace. For those who least expect it, a blessing in their lives. |

My wish is very much like all of yall listed. But I pray for all to see how truly blessed they are..even if it is a sunset, or having a cup of tea...but to truly let go of the chaos of the world.
Blessings Tammy

My deepest Christmas wish is for my Daddy, that he will experience the "peace that surpasses all understanding" this Christmas Season. He is just broken with the absence of my beloved Mother. And I wish the same for other people feeling that emptiness this Christmas and every day.

My Christmas wish is for everyone to find something--God, the Earth, a just cause--that they love more than themselves. Jesus, Ghandi, Martin Luther King, Jr., all were dedicated to something bigger than themselves. It's great to love family and friends, but I think we're all called to love something greater than ourselves. And I believe if everyone did that, then peace and prosperity would follow. Cindy |

My deepest Christmas wish is for my daughter to get stabilized and to be responsible and happy. There's a lot of story behind that but truly, I just want my baby to be happy and able to function in this world.

My deepest wish, rather selfish, would be for me to spend Christmas with my only living relative. My brother in Thailand. It won't happen, but can wish :)

My wish is for every one including me is to not take a moment for grated. To live there life to the fullest, and always forgive because life is to short to hold a gruge. And to make every moment count. Blessings and hugs, Channah

I would like for my hubby to find a good job. He's been out of work for a few years as he was going to school, but now he is stressing about the winter. Keep your fingers crossed for him - he has a civil service exam on the 17th and if he does well, he can apply for a position and hopefully get an interview!
