I don't know if this is the correct place to put this but my roommate who is farmgirlheart and I had an idea. Why not do an issue with recipes for making your own ketchup, mustard, mayo, and other various condiments that we use every day on our food, have in our fridge. We were looking at the ketchup bottle and it is so sugary and is just concentrated tomatoes. Why not make our own and get ride of the unneeded sugar. It's an idea and I thought it might be fun to do!
What does everyone else think?

I think I may even have some recipes from my Mom stashed away somewhere...

I know I have one for seasoning salt.

I am interested in this subject. If we had some recipes now, (please, please) I could start planning some things for my garden this coming Spring. That would perk me up as I look at the snow covering my garden area...as beautiful as it is!

I don't even know where to begin, I just thought it would be cool to see if Mary Jane could some how incorporate it into her magazine in an edition.

Hi girls!
You'll be glad to know that we will have an heirloom ketchup recipe and also a mustard and mayo recipe in our April-May issue, "Garden Secrets," due out mid-March. In the meantime, there's a good mayo recipe in the "Art of the Egg" issue (available in our Back Issues Bundle #1).
Thanks!
Carol

Hooray, that is a great start! Can't wait for the issue. Maybe it will spawn other basic recipes. Thanks!
