I saw a recipe for a stain remover- it was 1 cup Ammonina, 1cup Dawn and something else- can someone help me with the last item? thank you so much! |

I made the remover right after someone posted the recipe & it works great! It even removes old stains!

Melody, I haven't had any problems using it on our clothes at all. I haven't had to spray anything delicate though.
Jonnie, you are right, ammonia is not organic or safe if mixed with certain ingredients it can become toxic. I only use it for my stain remover. There is a lot of information on the internet about it.

Yes, with chlorine bleach it makes mustard gas - I learned that the hard way . . .

Is Ammonia safe for the enviorment? I use baking soda and vinegar-I spray the vinegar on the stain add a dash of baking soda scrub it in then spray it again. Most of the time I do this when the clothes get put in the laundry room. I have two messy girls! WARNING:Don't mix the two together because it foams. It's kind of scary.
