January 30th in Stanwood is the Country living Expo and Cattleman's Winterschool. I have gone for the past few years and taken many different classes and have learned a lot. all types of classes on farm animals and pasture management but also fiber arts and spinning--hands on stuff. And a trade show. and for preregister folk (or if there is any leftover) Prime Rib or Vegetarian dinner too. It is put on by Washington State U. Skagit Country Extension agency and area cattlemen/women. Very neat. If anyone lives out this way come on down to the Stanwood High School January 30th It starts at 8:00am. Last year I met several people who came up from the Portland area. MB
