Oh darn, don't have them yet. But am planning on getting them this spring. If I can figure out what is the best way to go, as far as hives.

Hi StarMeadow!
I'm a beekeeper and I'm from Michigan too!
I sent you an e-mail (with my address) ... I don't know if I'm too late or not!
Are you a beekeeper too?
Thanks,
Tracey

Hi All -

We currently have 6 hives - it wasn't a good year for honey this year in the northeast, though. Too cold and rainy!

Thanks,
Luanne (beekeepersgirl)

I have Carpenter bees living wildly in my backyard. I'm planning on setting up a special area for them when we get close to spring.

Tell me more about what you're doing with the Carpenter bees, please!
Cross your fingers - I just found classes for basic bee-keeping starting in January. I wrote to see if they still have openings. I think I want to have hives (actually, I want someone to manage hives on my property and just let me have a bit of honey in exchange) so I thought it would be best to do the classes so I know what I'd be getting into.

Starmeadow!! Thanks so much for the happy-bee Bee Happy giftie! I love the notecards and the little pin, and don't you know I'm saving that wrapping paper, too, as well as the origami table. You are sweet as honey!!
