I went to a tree day in Seneca, IL , about 5 years ago and they had mushroom innoculating how to. I don't recall alot of details. I did help do some of the drilling, innoculating, and then the waxing. And after that I bought a log for $5. But I don't think I cared for my log well and the wax came out of almost all the holes, or something ate it out - who knows. I did get a few mushrooms, but I don't think it was five dollars worth. I like looking for them out in the wild - my mom taught me the good ones from the not so good ones. But all in all I did find the mushroom logs very interesting and fun to do. Wonder if I still have some of the info on that somewhere (I moved since then). If I find it I'll be back!
