How many of you got your jars sent by today? I'm embarrassed to say that I did not. But I'm hoping to have it in the mail tomorrow. If you were not able to get your jar sent yet, please let your partner know. I think it's as much fun putting it together as receiving it!

How are you girls doing with your jars? I hope you are having fun getting them together. Just a reminder that Monday is the mail-out date. Which means I will be putting mine together this weekend. :)

(Tuesday, Nov. 24th) I sent emails with your partners information tonight. If you did not receive it, please let me know as soon as possible. Have fun making your jar and getting a fun jar in the mail.

I'm so sorry, girls. My computer is fighting a virus, so I spent all last night downloading new virus protection software and doing virus scans, which do not let me do anything else online. I have to work today, but I will send you your partner information tonight. Again, I'm sorry for the delay. :(

I will be emailing you with your partner information later today (Monday). I still have a couple of you that I haven't received info from. I need that in order to pair you up.

If you signed up to participate and have not sent me your address and info on your interests, please do so as soon as possible, so I can pair you up.

I had so much fun doing this last year!

For those of you who don't know what a whimsy jar is, it is basically a jar stuffed full of treasures.
The treasures you fill it with are only limited by your creativity and imagination. Anything from buttons to ornaments to sewing notions to....?. Find a nice quart canning jar with lid (or something similar) Wide mouth works well.

Fill the jar full of things that you think your partner would enjoy. (You will receive a list of your partner's interests.)You can decorate it if you'd like and mail to your partner by deadline. This will have to be limited to the US because of high mailing costs to other countries. (If there is more than one Canadian farmgirl that is interested, then I can match you up. :))

Here are links for previous swaps to give you some ideas:

http://www.maryjanesfarm.org/snitz/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=15423

If you are interested, sign up here and e-mail me with your name (including user name), mailing address, and a list of things you enjoy, hobbies, collections, color, food, etc. The more you tell me, the more ideas your partner has about what you'd like.

How about we make the sign up deadline Saturday, November 21st? I will get your partners name to you within a couple of days of that. Mailout date will be by December 7th.

I'm excited!!! :)

Rhonda,

What a great idea! I had never heard of this before. I looked a whimsy jar up online and saw some cute examples.

I would so love to join, however, I have so many swaps to complete and get working on Christmas gifts I just can't at this time. I would love to see you start one after the first of the year. What do you think? I would join then.

Have a good day!

I would love to be a part of this swap. Oh my goodness, there is so much that is so exciting and it makes this Christmas so much fun and full of the Spirit of Christmas! What wonderful ladies there are on this site! I have never felt so much a part of an organization and felt like one of the crowd. And, the talent! Oh My! You all are such inspirations to me whether you realize it or not. A Whimsy Jar! Who would've thought? Ha, ha! I LOVE it!

So, with all of that, please, please sign me up.

Smiles and Hugs!

Sounds like fun. Sign me up. Just need to know the deadline. Any idea on how much to spend or is it just up to each of us?

Yay! So glad to see so much interest.

How about we make the sign up deadline Saturday, November 21st? I will get your partners name to you within a couple of days of that. Mailout date will be by December 7th. I will edit my first post to include all of this information.

If you haven't sent me an email with your address and information about your interests, hobbies, collections, etc...please remember to do that.

For those who don't have the time to do this for Christmas, then we can certainly try to do another one after the new year.

...sorry, I removed the post that was here. This sounds like fun but I got cold feet and decided that I shall not do this. Looking ahead, I have too much on my plate to jump in. Please do not add me to the list.

...maybe next time around.

Just a little correction on my name. It is barnagainkristin instead of bargainkristin. Thanks for putting this together.

Hi Rhondacate,
Just wondered if you now have my interests. I emailed you last week but maybe I didn't get it right. Let me know if you didn't receive it.
