No squatting for me!! Maybe a bucket with a toilet seat? Oh, this sounds so fun. I will plan on coming but things always change. I can never make up my mind. It's awful, this mind of mine. And I am a last minute packer person, too. I really want to meet all you farmgirls! But, oh my goodness, I snore like crazy. I might need to get a motel room. Really. I am a nose snorer. I feel sorry for my hubby but he swears it doesn't bother him. I have earplugs, though. So it doesn't bother me!

I snore too!! Just ask Laura(82kygal) my sis & I were in a tent at the fall gathering & Laura got up in the night cause she thought she heard a bear! We could have a snoring wing! YOu have to come. miss wilma's is the best!
miss wilma, I don't mind sqatting. Just leave me a corncob & make sure Sterl doesn't accidentally see anything. I can guarantee he would need counseling after that!

This Louisiana Cajun girl would love to beable to be part of a get-together just to beable to meet you. Maybe one of the next times I'll make it there. I'll cook a gumbo for all of you. I do hope y'all have the best time, full of happiness, laughter, and memories. Take pictures and let us see all of you farmgirls.

Thanks Miss Wilma. I'll have to take a rain check on that fun time. But, let us all know about the time together. Y'all have a wonderful time!

Miss Wilma, DH & I are plannin' on leaving the Saturday morning, that's the 21st, staying in Memphis overnight, then on to Knob Lick to meet up with y'all that Sunday the 22nd, overnight @ your place, spend as much time as I can learning that sewing machine (while I'm in the presence of my mentor) then head home to Louisiana again on the Monday, the 23rd...will that work out okay for you?

Say to them, may the Lord bless you and protect you, May the Lord smile upon you and be gracious to you. May the Lord show you His favor and give you His peace. (Numbers 6:23-26)

I am excited and nervous! Miss Wilma, where've you been all this time??? I'm thinking this is all in God's timing; when the student is ready, the teacher will appear. I'm thinking a week wouldn't be enough time to spend in the presense of a mentor with your experience & I'm only gonna have a few hours...but knowing you're part of this wonderful farmgirl network, whew, that's a relief. I'm having to tell myself to breathe and stay calm...I think DH is feeling excited too! Thank you for your generous offer to have us stay in your cabin...it's soooo cute, you've been workin so hard, and it shows and it's gonna be a great time, I want to know the story for each of your great "finds". Thank you Miss Wilma...you just don't know how much this means to me and how much I am looking forward to makin your acquaintance!

Say to them, may the Lord bless you and protect you, May the Lord smile upon you and be gracious to you. May the Lord show you His favor and give you His peace. (Numbers 6:23-26)

So, we're talking the weekend of the 12th and 13th? Well, looks like we'll be comin' in on Friday night (the 11th), so as to be able to get up early and get junkin'! Justin can run around the farm and help out, or sleep in, or do whatever it is he does, and we'll drag little pippin-girl along. I've always missed the junkin' part because of work or whatever, but I'm going to take full advantage this year!

Any pie requests? I'm making an apple for sure, but if there are others, speak up now or forever hold your peace! Otherwise, I will just utilize my artistic license...

Lisa, Miss Wilma, I haven't felt this kind of energy for years. It's like having a Vitamin B shot or something, actually, it's wayyyy better!
I did a full year and then some with the Master Gardener program here; volunteer hours and all, then I got sick from lead-cadmium poisoning, (stripping paint here @ our old house), so it's been a challenge to recover from the damage it did, still healing...and I've had to let go of the MG volunteer activities. I learned much (I'm still learning) and will value the friendships I've made as the greatest "harvest", and who knows, I may feel energized enough to do some more volunteer work with them in the future. Still studying for my degree...
building my life again...inch by inch...
God is so faithful & there is continued improvement daily!
Love all y'all for the faith, hope, love, support and encouragement you share here on MJF's Connection.

It seems I live less than two hours from Miss Wilma.. oh how many trips I made passing by that area a few years back when we (ex and me) hauled (ingots) to Alcan....by eighteen wheeler..

Although I wish I could come and meet some of you wonderful farmgirls...and Lord know I need something like that now it just doesnt seem possible... I even had an inkling.. to even go down to Chickamauga and pick up Kristin as that is our favorite place after going on vacation in that area in June..... and YEP I have one of those lead foots.. you know "metal to the pedal"....I could have picked her up and been back in good ole KY in no time!!!!! lol

I too would love to see pictures but also I am very CURIOUS on WHAT you all do and HOW do you plan one of these get togethers....

Have fun and everyone have a safe trip to Miss Wilma's in Kentucky.

Well, Miss Wilma,
You know that I want to be there but just can't work it out this time. But....I will get there one of these times. I guess I will have to wait for a warmer weather get together as I am kinda freaked about making the drive from Michigan to KY in December. I will be thinking about all of you and the grand time you will have.
Just know that I'm coming to the next one. Now that we have our camper, we can bring our own beds and maybe some extra beds for some of the gals.
Will miss the junking but am holding on to the idea of ...next time

Laura you know you dont even have to ask. And Michele you are welcome anytime also, next year we will have it earlier, I have just had so much going on I just couldnt do it sooner so that is why its a little quieter this timebut we will still have a good time. Chandra from Louisana is spending the night in our little cabin. She is such a sweetie. I am trying to get her to come back in two weeks, hoping she can hook up with Marley and they can come
