Milk cartons either the wax or plastic cut out 2 sides and hang from handle or a basket with a handle and small enough weave to hold seed.

The round tomato cages, find a plastic plant saucer to fit on the top ring, (saucer should hve a lip on it), stick cage in the ground and instant feeder. You can use the same idea for a bird bath.

You can buy a platic thingy that screws on to soda pop bottles, add bird seed to the bottle and hang upside down. Any baking type pan on a table works too. I use to feed the squirrels from a disposable aluminum baking pan. Saucers or orphaned plates would work. There's directions in one of the MJ mag's for a tea cup bird feeder. Really, I think anything that would hold seed could be repurposed into a feeder. Don't see why you couldn't drill holes in a tin can and fill it with seed and hang it up (probably should flatten out the back side of the holes so the birdies don't get their beaks caught in it).
