Can anybody tell me if Macafee and Norton fight and make your computers run relly slow I have both and today all 3 computers are so slow I am about to throw them all out the window.
I used Norton for about five years and finally un-installed it, even though it was paid for almost a full year. My computer ran like a slug and twice I had viruses that just disabled Norton and installed themselves. Di
Yes!! You should only have one antivirus program running at once. When one scans the files, the other thinks it is a virus searching your drive and tries to shut it down, then the first one thinks it is being attacked by a virus and tries to shut the other one down. All the while both of them are sucking up the available RAM so you computer slows to a crawl if it doesn't lock down completely.
I had Norton installed when I bough my puter and deleted it straight away. I just don't like it one bit! I now have the free AGV and it works like a charm. And yes Alee is so right, they do "fight"
