Once again my DH tried to tell me how hard he worked for me this AM. My car water pump went and he replaced it. about an hour job. I said I know how you feel, I got up made your coffee, got Gio dressed, let out the dog, made breakfast for everyone, cleaned up the kitchen, played with Gio for about an hour before his mom picked him up then I cleaned up this toys, I'm making banana bread and I'll heat up the soup I made yesterday for dinner for your lunch if thats ok. He said OK. Lets see if he'll say anything about the afternoon.
Hope all your days are Sunnydays. dianebcarterhotmailcom.blogspot.com |

Diane, theres a favorite saying that is hanging in my kitchen, it says " A man works from sun to sun, but, a womens work is never done", my late hubby, if asked about that saying by his friends, he'd say you better beleive it, just ask my wife.
"Treat the earth well, it was not given to you by your parents, it was loaned to you by your children" |

I love it when they clean something and have to make sure that you know about it. The last thing mine did was the grill. So when he called me over to see it I said ohhh just like I left it.

My daughter got married in July and we just had this conversation the other day as her new husband did something around the house and expected to be congratulated and thanked!!! I just said "Welcome to married life!" |

I don't get it. They expect praise for doing something that is a grown adult responsibility. I work hard come home and work more. But I don't look at it as work, but chores to leading a successful life. I guess that is why my x and I didn't work out. I believed in getting up and doing something and that sitting down to watch tv was something to do when all the work was done. It's a crazy world. =) Farm GIrl Hugs!
