i never hard of doing that. i do not remember my dad trimming his goats. a neighbor told me that racheals feet needed trimming every 6 weeks.

Yes,yes,and yes. You need to trim there feet every month or so. You can get goat trimmers at your local farm store.

Yup! At the ranch we trimmed their feet ever 6 weeks to two months depending on how they are looking.

I used to have goats and we made a good size concrete slab. Like 6X6 feet and made the finish on the concrete real rough then we set the water barrel right in the middle of it and they all would walk on the concrete and it would keep their hooves trim. Kind of like filing your finger nails

ok ok foot trimming is now on the schedule *grin* tho i do like lavonna's way of thinking! i am afraid that mid winter that wouldnt do much good unless i used a shovel which would be mroe difficult that trimming! peace connie in alaska

Yeah, Texas and Alaska have slightly different weather. There is never enough snow to cover the concrete.

Yep, I trim my girls myself. Several years ago we had 2 pygmys for pets and a lady vet showed me how to do it.
