Hey Beverley, what the heck is Brazillian embroidery. I don't think I have any of it but I wouldn't know the difference if I did!! Sounds fun!! Let me know. ~julia
Brazillian embroidery is a dimentional type of embroidery. go to ed-mar.com and you can see it. It used rayon thread for it and it is very pretty. It uses all the same stitches and then some extra ones from heirloom embroidery like the bullion and a few others. I have just started doing it and I really enjoy doing it. check out that site and you can take a look at it...Bev

Well since I just started I only have one done so far. My friend on the other hand who is on MJF's does beautiful work and I will have to get her to show some of hers. She of course doesn't think it is but it is gorbeous!!!

Lorraine! How wonderful..We all need some extra inspiration this time of year. I suspect more and more people are wanting to creative hand-made treasures for the holidays OR buy them from someone else. When I saw some of this kind of work well, it is just beautiful.
I subscribe to the Antique sampler magazine and it is breath-taking every single time..The true art of stitching..the history is just so incredible..Your work needs to be displayed for sure!!
The one on the left is one of lorraines and the one on the right is my first attempt. so don't look to close. it is fun!!! If you like embroidery you will like this!!!
