Hi girls! I just wanted to touch base with those of you that have become followers of my blogger accounts. I have been hacked/phished whatever. I have decided to simplify my life and not blog anymore. I think I know who/what is responsible for this and the problem is taken care of. If you need to reach for a facial/beauty question, you may do so though MJF as I know its 'safe' here. In more ways than one...
My Fb account was phished as well so I'm currently going offline to upload more secrutiy measures.
I cannot stress enough how important it is for all of you to chose strong passwords. Passwords with numbers, letters and SYMBOLS in them. Wish me luck!

I am so sorry that this happend!! I am so ignorant when it comes to computer things- good thing I have kids that can show me the way!! Good Luck with this fiasco!

Our computer was taken under seige just recently by "Total Security". It claims to be all you need or want for security on your computer. IT IS FAKE!!!!! Don't even consider it . . . it will take full control. We didn't "buy" it with Total Security but it we had to get a professional "cure" with anti-malware program and reinstall an anti-virus program. There are some really evil people out there!!! "Green AV" is another one to totally avoid.

You know I was thinking about removing my blog as well, it's new and I have no followers, I just worry about stuff like that to. Hope all turns out well for you!

Good luck! Last year, my yahoo account was stolen. Everyone on my directory got a letter that I was stranded in Nigeria and needed some stupid amount of money to get home. The funny thing is, my Avon lady called me on my cell asking me what I was doing in Nigeria. My oldest daughter forwarded the letter to me and it said that everything - passport, traveler's checks, cell phone, etc - had been confiscated. I asked Janeil how the heck she was calling me since my cell phone was supposedly confiscated. We had a good laugh over that, but I ended up having to file reports with the FBI and the local PD.

Well, I just have to say, FaceBook is really on top of things. I got a security email asking me if I changed my email from something that was VERY close to what it already was. Thank goodness I had coffee in me as the difference was sooooo minimal. One could really have missed it. So I went to FB security and tried to log in with my username and password and they didn't work. So I thought I'd get in thru Blogger... My blogger account was canceled due to some kind of 'behaviour'. What the....? So with everything being linked, I had to change passwords on everything. And since my blog was up for goodness knows how long. I mean, I just didn't want to start over again. I had so many memories on there. I just decided to let it go. It's all good and it's one less thing that's hanging over me. It actually feels good. So anyway, after I changed all my passwords and stuff, I got a message from FB telling me that I was phished/hacked and they were removing the threat. Soo..... this is where I am now. Installing more security walls, and doing less on the computer. It's actually kind of nice just checking email and in here and Fb....haha!

So sorry to hear about this Dawn. There are some people out there with only malice and I just don't get it. My husband is very cautious with these things because he has had to take fraud classes for his job and has heard some of the most horrible schemes by people trying to get info or to destroy someone else. It truly is sad.
I hope things work out okay for you. Was FB able to protect your info?

Oh Dawn,
I know how you feel I just went through my email at yahoo being hacked. I just finished changing and deleting things and installed a better virus software and yes definitely pick strong passwords!!
i did not even know it had happened until someone else told me. So be very careful of the sites you go to everyone. Better to be safe than sorry.
