Yes, Kayleigh is a fun kid. She got a tablet for her birthday and a facebook account. So we're calling her Selfie Queen. She gets homesick fast when she comes to visit.
Got a lot of little things done today. Most important, pickled beet eggs for Thanksgiving dinner.

Judy, wow 40lbs for Dave! Good for him. You are a good cheerleader.

Sabrina, I don't know how you do it. Hang in there and just go with the flow. Don't stress about anything. You'll get on track with the kids and school when you're settled over here!

Judith, thank you for my card, hankie and cute cupcake stickers for FGOTM. You are so sweet!

Peggy, you're allowed to get weepy. My favorite bible verse is Jesus wept. It shows His compassion and love for his friend. We know we can weep in his arms too! You and Larry continue to be in my prayers. When one of us hurts the rest of us hurt alongside. Peace sister.

Nora, your Kayleigh looks like a Norman Rockwell kid! Cute!

Good morning ladies! It's a frosty 32' this morning and it looks like it will be sunny. Everybody going to go out and vote today? Matt and I plan on going at lunch time.

My lung biopsy went well yesterday. I won't know until next Monday probably what the results were. I had to get up at 3:30 am yesterday to be there by 6:30 as it's a 2 hour drive. They told me I'd be awake during the procedure but I think I was so tired that when they gave me the meds in my IV it totally put me out. I don't remember anything after the meds were given. I think I was out about 15 minutes, which is fine with me. I don't think I want to be aware of a needle being stuck in lol

Matt and I went to our favorite Middle Eastern restaurant for lunch afterwards and then came home. He kept asking if I wanted to go shopping and I kept saying no, all I wanted was to sleep. He did force me to go to Coldstone for probably our last ice cream from there for the year as we rarely travel to Fargo once we have snow. We went to a different one that was by the restaurant we went to and there was a Breadsmith next to it so I went and bought a couple loaves of bread. I wish we had something like that here, I miss fresh bread. Grocery store bakeries just aren't the same as a real bakery.

Sunday I did a local Christmas craft fair to try and get some new customers for the pet sitting. Gave out a lot of cards this time so hopefully I'll pick up at least one new customer. They put my table directly across from the concession stand so I had a great spot (other then making me hungry all day lol). This fair was much better than the last one and had a lot more people and vendors.

Peggy - How have you been doing? How's hubby doing? Any word yet on the defibrillator?

I'd like to ask for prayer for a coworker, her name is Joyce. I haven't seen her in months and saw her Saturday while I was working. She told me she's been out since September when she was hospitalized again for her COPD. She admitted to me she's stage 4 now. She adopted her grandson several years ago and has been raising him. He's in his early teens so it doesn't look like she'll survive long enough to see him graduate. We've been telling her for over a year she needs to retire and take it easy but she kept saying she needed to work until she got him raised. It wasn't until last summer when she was hospitalized and put on oxygen that she finally stopped smoking. Unfortunately it was too late to help at that point. It breaks my heart, she looks so bad physically. At this point only a miracle will allow her to see her grandson to graduation.

Well off to work for me. Take care everybody!

Been home two day with the flu. Started early this year, I guess.
Good luck with your biopsy, Tammy.
We've been having frost in the mornings and 70's in the afternoons. I hate to say it but I'm ready for November weather. Though this is good for the heating bills. I do hope snow holds off until February. Maybe a little around Christmas.
Well, I think I'm going to try a cup of tea and see how it does on my stomach.
Have a great day ladies.

Hi girlie, I voted today! I was the only person there who wore red-white n blue! I shamed the workers(I always do) and they said, ya, I don't know why I don't wear that. "Well, why not! If you don't know...I surely can't help!" *giggle*
God gave me a scripture verse this morning and I took it with me to vote:
"If my people which are called by My name, shall humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways; then I will hear from Heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land!"
2 Chronicles 7:14
Our land needs healed! It was a great message to hang onto today!
Poor Nora, I sure hope you feel better soon!
Prairie Tammy, Sorry you have to wait so long for a diagnosis. We can get a movie from 'Red-Box' instantly but we have to wait for the BIG, IMPORTANT stuff for a week??? What's wrong with THAT picture? *giggle*
Praying for Joyce!

Hi Girlies...

I am here! Have just had a couple of really hectic days and tomorrow is going to be the same. Need to get up early walk/then shower.
Then going to the Second Surgeon to talk about a Defibrillator at 2:00 Then somewhere for Dinner and then to a Gospel Concert
with hubby. Won't be home until about 11:00 OR 11:30 PM. Today I had my little guy over for our Grandma Time. We had so much
FUN...what a JOY he is!!! Then off to Barnes & Noble to work on My Bible Study. And then home exhausted and needing a Nap. I have
tried to stay away from Election News all night as I am just so tired of it all.

It has been beautiful here all week with almost 70 degree weather...Making it seem like Early September not November. Here we
are making plans for Thanksgiving and wearing Capri's and T-Shirts during the day. I just went outside to take the dog out and
it is just a beautiful outside.

zzzzzzzzzzzz's for now...I need my bed! Will update you on Larry as soon as I can. Keep the prayers coming please!

Love and Big Hugs,
Peggy

Went to the doctor today. She said it's not the flu, just a stomach bug but she put me out of work the rest of the week and gave me medicine. Hopefully, I'll be on the mend now. The Turkey, Ham, Oyster Supper is Saturday night. Hope I feel like going. I love the fried oysters.
Peggy, good luck at the doctor.
Little Cherokee has been on my lap most of the day today. it's nice to have company.

hello ladies,
Just popping for a moment and then off to grade a few papers before evening tea. The house is quiet as hubby is at meeting but the dogs keep me entertained.
Peggy I have been keeping you and your hubby in prayer. You know it is ok to have tears and emotions. God understands.

To all the others who have been under the weather I pray you are doing well.

Well yall I have to tell a butterfly story. As yall know I have 20 of them this year and well there are days they are underfoot. Today one of them stepped on my wings and down we crashed. She looked at me and said I got the better deal of this cause I am younger. Are you ok...I said my pride was hurt and she said it looks fine to me...oh my goodness I laughed and laughed. Out of the mouths of babes. Needless to say I got up and said ok what are yall looking at haven't you ever seen anyone trip with so many butterflies under foot?

Well I think that about covers my day. Hope yall had a good one.
love to you all,
Tammy

Yuns are in my Prayers Peg! I'm sure you are wore out!
TLTammy, I got a kick outta your story! Thanks for sharing!
Awwww Nora, little Cherokee is so sweet. My Rascal loves it when one of us sit down so that he has someone to sit on, up off that cold, drafty floor, don't ya know! His 'piggie's' get cold this time of year! Glad we are good for something! Hahahahaha
G'nite girlie! It's been very dark, damp(rained last night), and chilly today. I'm ready for bed and it's only 9:30.

PeggyAnn, Hope all went well with the doctor. This must be a trying time for you and your faith in God will see you through it. We pray for you daily that all will end well.

Lenora, stomach bugs can be nasty stuff. At least you have company. My dog and cat do the same thing with me when I am not feeling good.

TLTammy, just love your story. Little ones do say the darnest things. At least you had a good laugh.

Have not been on lately. So much activity around here with the stone work being done on the chimneys and the banging and heavens know what else is going on down in the basement. At least they are almost done with the original contract. Today they will not be here and I finally have a quite day. All of this dust in the house has taken its toll on my systems. I have this dry cough and it hurts something fierce when I cough for about 20 minutes or so. I have confined myself into the living room and as long as I keep the doors closed I seem to do okay. In about two weeks, I will be having all my windows in the house replaced and that will help with the cold staying outside, while I toasty inside. There is only a little more work that needs to be done. Once they finish the chimney's, foundation in the basement, the only thing left is a little remodeling job in the dining room and living room. Can't wait until it is all peace and quite around here. I am hoping for all the work to be completed by Thanksgiving so I can cook our dinner like I always have in the past. It will probably be only Paul and I, but that is no reason not to have a true dinner on that day. We have so much to be thankful for this days.

Hope everyone has a great rest of the week.

Becky

May the stars carry your sadness away. May the flowers fill your heart with beauty, and may hope forever wipe away your tears.

Good morning. It's a sunny 46' here today so it looks like we'll be having another unusually warm day for November. I'm preparing myself to be without water today. They've been digging up and replacing pipes for months now in our neighborhood. Roads are blocked and it's a mess to say the least. They're paving it finally so they handed flyers saying they were turning the water off while they do it today. They turned it off yesterday and it turned the water heater off (grrr). I had planned to clean the kitchen last night but without hot water that didn't get done. Matt got it turned on after he came home so I was able to get my shower out of the way this morning. Not sure what he'll do since they turn it off already.

So since I couldn't clean the kitchen I spent 2 hours cleaning my office LOL It was a serious mess and I had a bunch of filing to do and stacks of papers and books to put away. I still have some stuff I need to do with Quickbooks this weekend but I got all the receipts put in. It will be so nice once I get rid of my work computers so I can move my laptop to that section and open up some room. At least I can see table top now on my desk. I also got the floor vacuumed and mopped.

BF Tammy - such a cute story! I think we all chuckled with you.

Darlene - There's a small hospital in town but almost no specialist so we have to either go to Bismarck or Fargo, both of which are nearly 2 hours away.

Lenora - hope you feel better soon so you can eat those tasty vitals Friday :O)

Rebecca - I love those Maine style homes. Hopefully you get situated before the holidays hit. It's always frustrating this time of year at least for me if I can't start my winter nesting rituals.

Hello My Porchies...

Wow, life has been so hectic and I am getting nothing done that I need and want to do. Seems like
I'm running circles but getting nowhere fast. I can't believe it is Thursday again and I need to
Teach Bible Study again tonight. Seems like last Thursday was just yesterday. LOL

Well, update on the Defibrillator Surgeon. He comes in and introduces himself, sits down and says, "Well, what's the Plan?" I said, "What plan? Do we have a plan? I thought we were here to see you about "The Plan"? So, then he changes tactic..."Okay, The Cardiologist & The Heart Surgeon are the Plumbers in layman's terms and I am the Electrician. So, we need to know what the Plummers think they can do first. Your Cardiologist is the 1st Plummer and he determined that you had blockages and so when he went in to do The Angiogram he was going to stint which ever artery or vain was causing your heart problem, but when he gets in there he finds two complete blockages and hardening of the Arteries. The Other 3 arteries show blockages from 60 - 90 %
and two leaking heart valves, and a possible life threatening arrhythmia and your heart is only pumping at 30% capacity. The 3 arteries...The Cardiologist is not able to stint because of the location and/or length of the damage. So, he still sends you to the
2nd Plumber to see if you can have by-pass surgery on the 3 remaining Arteries. He says no there is no way to by pass them but he
thinks maybe a Defibrillator might but your heart rhythm back to what it should be and keep it there...giving you a little more energy and maybe keep you from throwing PVC's that will eventually kill you. So, here I am The Electrician...I confer with the Plumbers
and we think you first need to wait and see if the new heart medication keeps you from the AF problem. That takes a month or two to
determine. If we determine that is doing better then we will have you wear a Heart Monitor again and see if there are any changes. We will also want you to have another Angiogram and then we will decide if we think the Defibrillator will be a help or not. It is very
low risk procedure down around 1 to 2% risk factor. So, we are looking at all this taking 2 to 3 months before we decide if it is a
go or not. The heart valves are to risky we will not be replacing those." So, he gives Larry a small booklet to read and we are out
the door. We really liked this young surgeon and felt very confident that what ever he decides will be great. So, we wait! In the
mean time Larry is going back on The Strictest Spectrum Eating Habit from Dr. Dean Ornish a renown heart Specialist. I have decided to read the book too and go on one of the Milder Eating and Life Style Changes from Dr. Ornish's Book Also. If Larry can eat this
strict of diet he can reverse his heart disease. It has been proven to do so even in patients who were on the list for a Heart
Transplant. So, we have a little Hope here and we are going for it. Either way...Larry is setting his house in order and we now have
a Plan. We go back next week to see the Cardiologist again...and go from there. Thanks for all your prayers, love and concern. It
will be a Win/Win no matter how all this plays out. Either God will heal him on this Earth or He will heal him 100% in Heaven. What's
not to like about those odds girls?

Wanted to say more and address everyone but I need a nap before Bible Study.

Blessings and Hope,
Peggy

Good morning dear Porchies! So much to catch up on!!!! There is no way I am going to be able to touch on everything I have missed, but I want to be sure to post on a few things...

Peggy - Oh my heart hurts for you, but trusting God to do what is best for Larry!!! Please know that I am praying for him, and you as well!

Sabrina - oh how I know how difficult and stressful the transition period is! Praying for all of you guys through this time, especially your child that doesn't deal well with change!!! My kiddo like that is really struggling!!! Looking forward to hearing all about it!

PGTammy - lung biopsy???? Praying for you sweet friend!!! Will also add your friend Joyce to my prayer list!

Nora - Welcome to the Porch (i've been gone so haven't been able to say that). Sorry to hear you are sick as well! Your kitty cat is adorable!!! My daughter Sammi desperately wants a cat. Still working on hubby!!!

TLTammy - Love love love your butterfly story :)

Becky - I'm sure you are looking forward to your house being "done" at least for a time!!!

Anyone hear anything from Heather? Didn't see anything from her when I skimmed through. Judy - how is Patsy?

Soooooo an update on us... We are officially living in Wyoming now :) It has been a bumpy ride up to this point! We took a couple weeks to get out here, visiting friends and family on the way. Got to meet Alicia and her family (DandeeRose)... been online friends for 9+ years, and just now met! We should have made it happen a long time ago! Moved in the house two weeks ago.... Had no internet until the other day, and terrible cell phone reception! But we are getting there. We have had to replace our hot water heater and refrigerator, the dishwasher leaks and the dryer takes two hours to dry. But the biggest issue has been our closing costs... We were instructed to wire them a couple days prior to closing, were sent wire instructions, and did so. Only to find out that the wiring instructions were fraud and we are now out $5k!!!! To say we are struggling is an understatement! Moving is expensive enough, without an added loss! We are trusting God to provide and let me tell you, He has blessed! We have received free deer and elk meat... not a ton, but a couple pounds here and there, that are keeping our bellies full. We also met with a gentleman the other day who said he has lots of deer tags left who said he will give us one of the deer he gets in the next few weeks. God is so good!!! Speaking of God, we are hoping to try a new church this Sunday. We haven't gone up to this point due to all of us being sick with all the climate changes. We love the area and and are looking forward to building our homestead here! We are still waiting on our belongings to arrive... they are saying by the 21st.

Ok Gals, patsy just called me with some scary news. My nephew Jason, who lives in KY, Where patsy is staying, took her home weds night to evacuate her home and take important papers, family photos and such back to KY with them. She lives at the foot of the Nantahala National Forrest reserve and if you've seen the news they have some huge fires burning in the area. The winds have shifted and are heading for her house. It's very windy she said. She said they already have ash covering everything. The fires are only 30% contained. 400 acres had burned as of yesterday. The terrain is so steep and rough there that they can't get to a lot of it. You can go to Maconmedia.com and see and hear about it all if you want too. There's too much to say on here. We need your Prayers for this Please!
She didn't even remember that she was the November Tea-Swap Hostess this month. She said that she needs the list again Peg, My list hasn't been updated and I know someone has moved since I did mine in June. Now...PTammy&Judith, she did grab all her mail as she was leaving the house yesterday, so, yes, she got both of your Tea packages for Sept & Oct.
They lived there for 17 years and had no troubles at all with fires... now it starts. I guess that's the chance you take living near a National Forrest, huh? Most of these fires were started by people camping and such too.
I'm just sick to my stomach and upset Gals!

Wildfires are terrible. Fingers crossed that little to no damage to the home.
Feeling much better. Going to stop the D2000, I think my stomach has been upset a little since the doctor told to start taking it late last month. I'll have to start eating more foods that contain vitamin D.
Getting ready to watch the M A S H finally.
Have a great week-end, girls.

Prayers for Patsy and her home. Such a frightening thing, fire.

Hope you are feeling better Lenora.

Just popping in when I can. Dad keeps me busy and of course this time of year is busy but I enjoy catching up on what everyone is up to.

Have a great day!

Hi Girls...trying this again today! May Save as I go...just to be safe.

Judy...I read your post last night and prayed for the safety of Patsy and her home.
Fire is so scary and so destructive. Your whole life can go up in smoke in minutes.
There must be a lot of different fires going on on the middle part of the Country
and on the Eastern part. My SIL who lives in Spokane is a Fire Fighter and was just
called out to N. Carolina for 14 days to fight a fire there. This just isn't the time
of year you would think of as Fire Season. I think our dry and warmer winter so far
is the cause. All our Spring shrubs and flowers are so confused that they are blooming
again. It is strange! Keep us posted on Patsy and we will keep praying. Last night
it was raining but warm. I had the A/C going in my room and we had to open the Porch
doors to get in some cooler air and it was still too warm. I have still only had the heat
on once last month just for an hour. Who would believe it would be almost Thanksgiving
and we still aren't needing heat???? Crazy! ~ Judy can you please get the Tea List from
Judith or P.Tammy. I lost it when my old computer crashed. Thanks Girlie!!!

Denise...we love it when you jump on just to chat a moment. Keeps us connected to you.
I know what you mean about taking care of your dad being time consuming. I feel the same
way taking care of my husband.

P. Tammy...it has been so much fun to see how The Lord has been blessing you the last
6 weeks or so. I think he just knew you needed some God Gifts after your stretch of sadness
and health issues etc and work issues. Makes my heart very very Happy For YOU!

Shannon...so good to hear from you. Glad that your are settling in. You sound so much more
encouraged and light hearted in your post. I pray that you find the Church you are looking
for in your new location. We are still Church hunting too but hubby's health issues make it
a bit more difficult as he doesn't always feel up to it. But I know we will find one.

Sabrina...it will be so nice when you get all settled into your new place and all your possessions
catch up with you and you can heave a big sigh of relief. You will probably really have some
weather and location adjustments but it will be all good in the end.

Teacher Tammy...Loved Loved Loved the Butterfly story. That is exactly what I had been waiting for.
I know that you just cannot work around kids and not have funny things happen. Even not so funny
things at the time...can really tickle your funny bone later. My 3 year old Elijah spent 40 minutes
on his other grandma's iPhone trying to get Siri to sing him a song. And not just any song...he told
her the exact song he wanted to hear and he said, "I don't want you to just play it I want you to sing
it to me in Japanese!!!" LOL Kids are just way too smart! He gets so frustrated when Siri or Alexa
won't do what he wants. He is nothing if NOT determined to bring them under his control. LOL

Nora...glad that you are feeling better. I have been having terrible allergy issues this month with all the
leaf mold etc. I keep thinking I am coming down with a cold but it is just my allergies running amok.

Becky...it was so nice to go look at your pictures of the inside of your Farm House and the property. I
think you have a lovely setting and I adore your Old Farm House. Love those wide blank hardwood floors.
I'm envious in fact. LOL My youngest son and DIL and I went to look at a 120 year old Farm House last
weekend and Sadie and I fell in love with it. My son not so much. But it was an old house that had been
complete restored with a beautiful blend of old and new. It held all The Charm of an Old House but
everything was new. It had a Porch to die for but not very much property as the original owners sold off
the acreage for additional housing sites. So, the property was only 1 acre for $500 Thousand. My son is
looking for a new house but he is in no hurry. He said, I am not paying half a million dollars for 2300
square feet. Which is true the price was way too high. It has been on the Market for for 3 months and they
have had no offers on it. But it sure was Beautiful!!!

Well my Sweet Porchies...keep the prayers coming. We are taking one day at time.

Keeping all you in my prayers too.

Love and Big Hugs,
Peggy

Judy, I forwarded the list tea swap list to you. Please let me know if you get it or not.

Will Patsy not get her email if I forward it to her?

I am so sad to hear about the fire in the forest near Patsy. I will pray that it at least does not reach her home! We usually hear of fires in the West or North.

TLTammy- I am not know to giggle..but, I did over your Butterfly story.

Shannon, I'm so glad you are finally home!

Peggy, isn't Hope a wonderful thing! I think I like Larry's new doctor. He sounds pretty thorough. I'll keep on praying for both of you.

Hugs to all of you.
