Nancy Dawn, I am a coffeeholic. I drink coffee all day long, you know, good to the last drop!!! LOL!!! If I do not want to make a pot at night, then I switch to tea. I just finished eating a pumpkin pie I baked the other day. I love pumpkin, but DH does not, so he got an apple pie. pumpkin snicker doodles and apple raisin pie both sound pretty darn good too!!!! Very nice tags!!! I need to do that for a craft show in November.

Judy, Wow! Jim is sure going through a strange illness. I can only imagine how hard it is on his wife. Glad to hear there are some improvements. Hopefully the doctors will get it figured out.
Bunny, I don't know how you do the school. I tip my hat to you and encourage you to keep it up. Good Work.
I'm running on fumes. Husband is doing harvest and he gets up at 3 or 3:30am and I always end up waking up. Some days I can go back to sleep and get up at 5am but sometimes I start my day with 3 as the first number on the clock and THAT'S JUST NOT RIGHT! Homeschool is going awesome. My children amaze me with how intelligent they are. So blessed. AWANAS starts next week and this year I'm helping. Neighbor kid might be coming too which has my son super excited because that's his friend. Part of our homeschool has a Bible curriculumn and my kids just memorized John 3:14-19. Blows my mind how they can memorize scripture like they can.
Prayer request. My daughter has been throwing up atleast once a week. I did a diet diary and took her in for tests. Turns out she's got a very bad yeast infection in her small intestine. She's on medication. She is being SUCH a trooper. One of the medicines tastes bad but she just gobbles it up because the poor little darling wants to stop throwing up. She has to be on a restricted diet because sugar feeds the yeast. She hasn't complained at all. She'll ask if she can have something and when I say she can't because it's to sweet, she just says, "okay Momma" and that ends it. I'm waiting for the dying yeast to lead to her feeling icky, flu like symptoms, but so far the only change I see is that she has an increased appetite.
Excuse the mess & the noise, my children are making happy memories

Good Morning Weather here has been beautiful. Wonderful Fall days or are they Indian Summer Days? What ever you call them they have been great. We could use more rain. Never thought I would pray for rain. LOL But Idaho like so many other states needs rain. We have fires that will not be out out till it rains or snows.
Praise God! He is truly mighty! Still praying. Judy I will keep Jim and Patsy in prayer. God can do all things.
Peggy great news about the wedding.
Alyce Apple raisin pie. That sounds wonderful. I'll take a slice and the recipe please.
Whittney Pumpkin Snicker Doodles? I have made regular snicker doodles but not pumpkin. They sound really good. What do you chane in the recipe? Just add the pumpkin?
Nancy Dawn I am in the Teaaholic group. I love it hot, cold and just about any flavor.
Kimberly I will add your daughter to my prayers. Bless her heart for being so good about the medication.
I am so glad it is Friday. It has been a long week. We had tonights of Parent / Teacher conferences. That means I am at the school from 7am to 8:30pm! At least I am feeling better. I think I am about over this head cold. Boy do they drag on and on and.....
Have a great weekend everyone

Kim praying for your DD. Bunny they never paid me the going rate but it was enough to keep house and home going. And I thank God for that. Still praying for Jim and Patsy. Also need prayer for my GDD. She sometimes thinks herself into deep dark holes. Nancy, I like coffee until noon, then it quits liking me. Blessings all.

Whittney, I love chamomile tea! Sometimes I put a little spearmint in it too. I grow both,so I have it(dried)for year round use.Love it! I don't know if you remember Robby, our little neighborhood "go-getter" yard boy. But he kept bugging me to make the chamomile tea, because he wanted to try it so badly. I finally made him a pot. He drank 2 cups. That was cute too.He got all excited because I used real teacups. hahaha His eyes got so big when he saw those. hahaha With 6 kids in the house,I don't think he sees real "breakable" ANYTHING! lol Anyhow, he begged me to put the rest of the tea in a container for him to take home. He wanted to give some to his older sister so she'd leave him alone. hahaha How could I argue with that! hahaha So I did and the next day he said that he drank it all...didn't share. Then he said his Dad could hardly wake him up the next morning for school. lol Oh dear! I never thought of that. Crazy kid! I told him he could of wet the bed. He blushed and said,"I don't do that!" I said, "well no, not on purpose anyhow!" ~geesh~ As I get older,I notice I drink more tea and less coffee.Coffee is tasting "off" to me anymore. It's weird! Well, I know that deer will taste really good since he ate out of your garden.Glad hubby got it! Yum, that snickerdoodle recipe looke great! Thanks for the site. Clever idea on the end tables. Kimberly,I'm so glad that they found out what was causing her to throw up. I don't get why she is hungry all the time though. You'd think she'd be full instead.hmmmmm..... Dianne, We just got over 3 days of rain. We are seeing the beginnings of beautiful fall colors now. I'm so sorry about all of your fires. So much gets destroyed. I know the vegitation grows back, but still! Peg, So glad those kids are FINALLY getting married! Yeaaaa! Well now,the continued story of Jim. They are saying they don't really know what it is. BUT...they're leaning towards Rhabdomyolysis. It's an in-depth thing that I'm going to let you look up and read for yourselves...if ya want too! *giggle* (no quiz later)haha But they think it's hereditary. His Mom had some problems along the same line. So they are keeping him another week and running more blood tests. Poor man is giving so much blood,he's gonna faint. They have been getting him up and into a recliner a few hours a day. But he has to take heavy-duty pain meds just to get up. That's just not right. What's he going to do once he goes home? This is just BIZARRE! Well, I'm off to paint a wall downstairs, then I need to go buy Mom a shower curtain and put up another one of my curtains at her kitchen window. Toodles for now!

Cherime, I can't believe you are getting snow already. My son in Calif.mis dealing with 90+days still.
Judy, sounds like Jim may need to get a second opinion and another hospital. I sure hope he gets better soon.
Whitney, nice about the deer. Good going on the upcycle project.
Not much going on here. More homework. Hopefully tomorrow will be a play day.
Later all.

Feels good to sit a spell on the porch with all of you busy gals. Today we cleaned out the camper and now it is ready to go to sleep for the winter. We are going to sell it. It is a 14 foot 1977 Jalldee. Does need some restoring, but is still in pretty good shape for being such an old gal. We bought it last year and only used it 5 times. My hubby has a hard time parking it, and we live on a hill, so it takes the whole yard to get it up here, turn it around and park it. Usually 2-3 hours of digging up the yard!! LOL!!! We plan on getting a motorhome in the spring. Much easier to haul around, plus in 2 years we are going to live in it and travel the country in it. Then, I cleaned out the shed and made room for our patio set, etc. I got hubby to help me drill holes in alot of plastic dominos and scrabble tiles so I can start making jewelry with them. We did that outside so it did not make a mess. Worked pretty good. Not to have time to make the jewelry. Judy, I still have you, your mom, Patsy and Jim in my prayers. I hope he improves more as each day passes. I know that can be such a strain on everyone. I do hope he will not be in any pain when they releaser him from the hospital. I will catch up with the rest of you tomorrow. Have a great evening,

Hi Gals! Patsy called me and we talked for an hour last night. She is allowed to stand at the door in the hallway and get fresh air. i guess their particular quarantine just means nobody can touch them. Everyone comes in looking like aliens in white&yellow cover-ups. haha They still aren't allowed visitors either. So the phone call, in the hall, away from Jim, Drs& nurses was a great comfort to her.She just has a Tracfone so she has to watch her minutes, but she said that she had to have her Sissy-Fix! LOL Dave and I only have Tracfones too and no long distance on our land-line. It's a bummer, but I use Skype a lot and Patsy has her tablet with her...thank goodness. All these new tech gadgets are a Blessing when it comes to things like this! Jim is progressing very, very slowly. Patsy told the one Doc that they weren't leaving there until he could walk and feed himself. If she hadn't stayed there with him, he would have starved to death, cause he couldn't bend his arms for the swelling, couldn't scratch, wash himself, wipe his nose...nothing. Just yesterday he was able to touch his thumb to his forehead. So weird and sad!We all get excited at these tiny improvements! That same Doc came in yesterday and said, "Well, you can go home in 2 days!" WHAT!! Patsy about hit him! She said,"Have you read his chart? Have you seen what he can or can't do?" She was hoppin mad! (read a chart once in awhile man!)He apologized to them then! Then he read Jim's chart! ~geesh~ Have a Blessed Sunday Gals!

Judy, thank you for keeping us informed about Jim. I can't imagine what he and Patsy are going through. I hope things turn around for them soon. It has been quiet on here today. I hope that means everyone has been having fun today!! LOL!! I hope Peggy is enjoying her retreat. Glad she was able to get away for a few days. I am sure she is having a good time. Well, off to bed. Hello My Chatty Porchies....just caught up on everyone's post for the four days I was gone to the Beach.
Not going to answer each individual gal tonight...as my body and brain are mush. It is almost 2:00 am and I can barely keep my peepers open.
The Beach Retreat was FABULOUS!! Gorgeous Sunny Weather. Lots of walks on the Beach, Lots of Shopping, Lots of Eating, Lots of Laughing, Lots of Playing board games (we got stuck on the Christian Version of Apples to Apples). Not as funny as the original game...but still had some good laughs anway.
I had the previledge of baptizing my future DIL. No, not in the freezing Pacific Ocean...we let her off the hook and I baptized her in the Hot Tub. It was Awesome!!!
Judy...thanks for keeping us posted on Patsy and Jim. How terribly strange this whole thing is. We will just keep praying and believing that God has a plan.
When does mama move into her new place?
My DH was asleep when I got home late this afternoon and just a bit too cranky when he did finally get up. I am so happy the Dog was glad to see me. LOL
I am not a Snicker Doodle fan...but I would love the Recipe to that Apple Raisen Pie....whom ever has that.
Sweet Dreams of Ocean Waves and the smell of the Salt of the Sea, Peggy.

Good morning, Porchies! It's another beautiful, sunny day here in Iowa. I'm packaging up my last October Tea envelope. Such a busy weekend..so, I'm just mailing out today. I hope you enjoy them.
Patsy and Jim, prayers are still coming your way! Judy, I know it must be just as exhausting for you. So, prayers for you too.
Very cute end tables! I love using things like that. Cherime, snow already! Wow, I love the first snow..but, not yet please. Peggy, It sounds like your little vacation was just what you needed. What an honor to baptise future DIL. Did you ever think in your life something so wonderful would happen for you? Life is full of new things.
Judy, I love the chamomile story! Sounds like a child's story. I was imagining story illustrations all the way through.
I haven't been real active on the FG connection lately. Decided to take care of a little patch of skin cancer. We are handling it with a topical cream. I think it's working the way its supposed too. But I'm living on Bonine, Benedryl and aspirin and sleep. Only a couple of weeks more to go if all goes well. I count my blessings and pray for all the people who go through much worse. Just this little bit is setting me straight.
Cherime, Today, I'll be planting sweet pea roots from DH's grandmother's garden. (before snow).
Have a lovely October 1!

Its rainin today and all the critters are fussy! Max, my 10 month old Lab has whined since 4 this morning! There is a nip in the air today. Let's me know Fall is well on its way in. Makes me want some cookies and coffee. any suggestions on the cookies? I can eat em but cookin em isn't on my list of Wow..she is good at that! Judith, I hope all turns out well on that skin cancer. Been there myself. and I am so envious of those sweet pea roots! I can just see them blooming next Spring. If anyone has any good cookies, bring em on and set a spell. Maybe the critters won't drive you bonkers!
