I know what Bunny is saying...I wish I lived closer to a lot of you when you need help. I'm just a ball of energy and giggles....most of the time....'til my back starts to spasm. But I love to wash windows and see them sparkle...and I love to clean...been a cleaning machine since I was 7. (abnormal child) So ...ya....would love to help you all out. It's times like these when I wish we had a "Walton's" house and could all live together and be there for each other and grow old together! Amen? French-Hugs to you all!

I just got this from my stepdaughter. Please pray for them. Our pediatrician referred us to the Casey Eye Institute to have a specialist look at baby PJ. I was expecting to hear that maybe he would need glasses, not that we need an MRI to rule out the possibility of a brain tumor. So he is scheduled for the next available infant mri in june but I have to call daily to see if there are any cancellations so he can be seen sooner. So if you could pray for my baby I would really appreciate it. Thanks and lots of Love,

HI ladies, I am enjoying a cup of tea and thought I would park it on the porch. I only have a few days left at school. The little butterflies are just about to flap their wings for the summer and oh do they want to flap them. I am ready for a little time to unwind.
Cherime~ I will be praying for the wee little one. Darlene~ Sorry for your troubles as well I am praying. Deb (tea) I am going to be sending out my tea to all you five ladies as soon as I find my scone recipe. I am busy looking for the proper tea for June as well since I will be the queen of that month.
Well ladies, I am bit tired so heading to the couch to read for a bit and then bed.
love to you all Tammy

Cherime I am praying for precious PJ. Jesus loves the children so He will hold him in his arms.
Thank you all for the prayers and well wishes. Yes, I too wish for the Walton house. LOL! Today at 1 and 1:45 I have the 2 tests that could be a life changer. I however will stand on God who can and does change everything. You are all precious to me and are always in my thoughts even if I can't seem to get on here and post.
Be Blessed, Darlene Sister 1922

When things get tough...I first turn to God and then I turn to humor. The Scripture says that Laughter is good medicine and I can attest to that. Cherime and Darlene...please do not think I take your situations lightly or flippantly...because I am storming the Throne Room on your behalf.
But on a lighter note: This is good for at least a hardy laugh or chuckle:
The Porch
A blonde teenage girl, wanting to earn some extra money for the Summer, decided to hire herself out as a 'handy-woman' and started canvassing a nearby well-to-do neighborhood.
She went to the front door of the first house, and asked the owner if he had any odd jobs for her to do.
'Well, I guess I could use somebody to paint my porch,' he said. 'How much will you charge me?'
Delighted, the girl quickly responded, 'How about $50?'
The man agreed and told her that the paint brushes and everything she would need was in the garage. The man's wife, hearing the Conversation said to her husband, 'Does she realize that our porch Goes ALL the way around the house?'
He responded, 'That's a bit cynical, isn't it?'
The wife replied, 'You're right.... I guess I'm starting to Believe all those dumb blonde jokes.
Later that day, the blonde came to the door to collect her money. 'You're finished already?' the startled husband asked.
'Yes, the blonde replied, and I even had paint left over, so I gave it two coats.'
Impressed, the man reached into his pocket for the $50.00 and handed it to her along with a ten dollar tip.
'And by the way,' the blonde added, 'it's not a Porch, it's a Lexus.
Love You All, Peggy

Hi Porchies!
Lots of prayers for all!
I'd like to add my Hubby to the prayer list. He interviewed today and was told he'd hear something wednesday or thursday. It's a good job with good benifits and decent pay. He would also have advancement opportunity, which he's never had before. The guy sounded real positive and seemed real happy with my Hubby's past experience.
I've been canning, drying, baking, and learning.
I showed the girls how to make butter by shaking cream in a canning jar. Then ran accross an old dough mixer made of a 2 gallon metal bucket. My grandma talked about the mixing bucket that her momma had and made bread dough and butter in. I managed to get it for $25 and it works perfectly! Now I have a butter churn! I only need to convince the guy down the road to sell me some fresh milk once in a while to make my own butter with.
I also have my first batch of homemade goats milk soap dryin on the counter. That was fun! I managed to keep from burnin myself with the lye, but I did learn why it's made outside by smart women. I swear I can still smell that stuff and it's been 2 days! Yuck!
I've got a pot of tropical jam simmerin on the stove for cannin tonight. I need to get some banana bread baked as well. I found a recipe for molasses oat banana bread that I'm gonna try. I think I need to add some chocolate chips to some of it.
I'll be by later to share some of the banana bread and tropical jam with you all. I also have some chocolate caramel creamer for the coffee tonight. Yummy!!

Judy... I make basically mango butter with pineapple juice instead of water for boilin it soft in. Then I add mashed pineapple and peeled kiwi and boil till I like the consistancy. I add 1 tsp lemon juice per jelly jar or 1 tbsp per pint jar and water bath can it for 10 minutes.
It has a taste that makes me think of daquaris and the beach. It was just made for banana bread! Literally! That's how I came up with the recipe! LOL!
I have a whole case worth all ready for some banana bread. I think I may try it as a glaze for a banana spice cake. I do have a birthday comin up. I think I need to go find my Hubby and start talkin cakes...Ha! Ha!

I'm off to eat one more slice of banana bread before bedtime. I left some on the porch for you all!

Thanks ladies for prayer for Amber and baby Patrick. Prayer is the only thing we can count on in a pinch. No news yet but will keep you informed.
I have been working on getting down for a visit. Might be able to swing it this year. I can only take a vacation when my other boss is up here as Mike is in the office daily opposed to Jeff who only gets in a couple of days a week.
Darlene praying for healing and wholeness.
Pam, that is a beautiful job of stitching. I have some punch needle stuff that I am trying to get finished but for now the jewelry, pillow slips and baby blankets are first in line as the Highland Games are at the end of June. Can’t sell what you haven’t made.
Elaine, your pix was so sweet. My youngest, who had diabetes, was a mistake as I knew that my exH was not going to be able to support a family. But Heather is the joy of my life. She is a hard and tireless worker for all who are downtrodden. I have always told her that she was the absolute best mistake I ever made hands down.
Bunny it is hard to deal with passive aggressive people. The lady who does our filing is in her 70's and passive aggressive. It is hard to work with that the only thing I have going for me is that I am the boss. Otherwise I think I would be resorting to banking my head against a wall.
Peg, sorry to hear that the junk hit you so hard.
Bunny and Peg. Praying for that fibro stuff to pack its bags and go back to the slime it came from.
And taking a cue from Judy, Big Group French Hug!!!

Good Morning porchies. Had a wonderful day yesterday sewing away. I have a kids sewing camp to teach this summer and have to make samples for them to see in the store. 3 more projects to go. Thankfully they are coming out ok. I agreed to teach something I have never made... had to learn it. Thankfully it worked! I will be teaching a class on making shirred skirts from either cotton or from a t-shirt. I love seeing all the ways you can take a t-shirt and make something else from it. I thought kids would love that. Poor dads will discover missing t-shirts after my class I'm sure. Anyway, still have jammie pants, a headband with a fabric rose and a regular skirt from an old t-shirt to go. My mom bought me a lilac bush for by my bedroom window. It got planted the other day. It's too late for flowers this year but I can't wait to see them next year. I think she is hoping I'll stay around for a while. I assured her, I didn't have plans for anywhere else for a while.
Not much else going on. Fibro is not an issue now that I'm home from the ocean. Now suddenly I have major hot flashes at night. I haven't had those in years. I have a kitty door in the window by my bed. I actually had to stick my head out the door to cool off. Thought about sticking my foot out too. If I open a window the heater goes on. My mom keeps the house soooo hot anyway. I almost wish for some cold weather.
I'm praying for all my farmgirls out there with health issues. Hope you and your loved ones get better soon.

Hi Deb -
I hope you enjoy the tea - it's one of my favorites! The picture was taken of the built in shelves in my farmhouse kitchen. Thought those little spice jar people were cute, so put them with my teapots. I love to take pictures, so usually make my own cards with my photos.
Hugs and prayers to all my "sisters" !
