We've been hammered the whole summer with rain, and now, the last two weeks have been nothing but rain. The temperature is warm and muggy, and there are puddles and worms everywhere where there should be brightly colored autumn leaves.

The last 2 weekends have been total deluges, with no outdoor plans being able to be kept. I have the blues! And I'm soaked to the bone.

aww..hugs!! Sunshine is coming!! :) We've been having wickedly hot days with a few rains scattered in on the weekends. Here's hoping you dry out soon! :D

Amen, sister. We planned on going to the Second Annual Chili Cookout at our favorite barbecue restaurant(think greens from Wilma's gathering),Smoketown Barbecue. I was going to set up for his yard sale in the parking lot. I'm afraid I'll get washed away! The forecast is rain, rain, rain all weekend. Not good for painting, either.

No kidding!!! My yard and drive is such an awful mess! Here's some pics the kids took the other day when we had "one" of the hardest rainfalls...

This is the lake in the back yard.

This is the rain water running down the drive and yard:

And this is the wading pool at the front door:

I've heard we're supposed to start seeing an end to the rain this Saturday. A small chance of rain on Sunday. I sure hope so. Our family picnic is Sunday at the City Lake. We'll be ok under the shelter house as long as the wind doesn't blow.

Hope ya'll dry out soon.

We have had enough rain for the rest of the year!!!!!! My Fathers house in Douglasville GA ended up with 4 feet of water in the basement. And of cource no flood insurance. Why would he need it it is on a hill! Oh well, no one was injured in our family so we should be thankful. Our Preacher said last Sunday " Whoever is praying for rain can STOP now"! I totaly agree.

Blessings,
Tina

I hear you all!!! It's Friday, and yes, it's raining....and thunderstorming. I woke up this morning and seriously just thought about crying. But that would just be more water!!!

It really gets you down when it's consecutive like this. And every night there has been some sort of fatal accident on the expressways so, aside from the horror of someone's tragic passing, you sit in the parking lot of rush hour traffic for an hour or more before they usher you off. It's getting so I don't even want to drive home if it's raining...

I'm so sorry for the folks in Georgia--you poor folks are d@mn** if you do and d@mn** if you don't...drought for years, now the deluge.

I am over it too! We no longer have a dryer, ours caught fire, & the Dane got diarrhea in the house on the futon, herself & everywhere & I have no way of drying anything. Will have to haul it all to the laundromat. I know what you mean Jonni, days in a row REALLY does nothing for the happy psyche. I am trying to take a few days next week for the fair, & OMG, I hope my first days off since April are not rain filled.
Man I sound like a whiner!

Oh no!!! Both the dryer AND the Dane are outta whack! Poor little girl, she's got a bug, huh? I remember those days of no dryer and nowhere to dry things--it sucks, plain and simple.

I am crossing fingers for your fair...and can't wait to come. Saturday will be the day and let's both cross fingers, toes, eyes, shoe laces, whatever that it's a dry week for the fair!!!

We saw some break from the rain today. It's sprinkled off and on a couple of times but nothing heavy.
I hope the break in the clouds makes it's way over to the rest of you.

Violet's bat costume sounds adorable.

Sorry you guys are getting pounded. We had rain like that through most of June, and then August and September were absolutely dry. Between the two, nothing has grown well for me this year either :(

Tina, I'll stop prayin' now! ;O)

Just think though, how Georgia was in extreme severe drought last summer and now we have more than what we need! Utterly amazing!
