I have a front loader washer and matching dryer. It used to be "stacked" to fit in the laundry room I had but we just moved and now they have to be side by side because of a wall cabinet. Here's my problem ~ The front part of the "stacking kit" was put onto the washer with a sticky foam strip... yuk! what a mess, I managed to get it off as carefully as I could. Now there is this sticky, foam mess left. Does anyone know how to remove this without using "Goo Gone"?? ( the smell makes me sick) and without putting anymore scratches on the washer?
Also lamp oil. Works like a charm. I worked at a gift shop and that's what we used to remove labels and sticky messes of all kinds. Just saturate it a bit, and rub off.
Also try heating the stuff with a hair dryer - sometimes that softens the glue enough that you can peel or rub it off. Be careful not to burn your fingers, though. It gets pretty hot!!!
