I have a front loader washer and matching dryer. It used to be "stacked" to fit in the laundry room I had but we just moved and now they have to be side by side because of a wall cabinet. Here's my problem ~
The front part of the "stacking kit" was put onto the washer with a sticky foam strip... yuk! what a mess, I managed to get it off as carefully as I could. Now there is this sticky, foam mess left. Does anyone know how to remove this without using "Goo Gone"?? ( the smell makes me sick) and without putting anymore scratches on the washer?

Try mayonnaise, it helps take the labels off glass jars.

Also lamp oil. Works like a charm. I worked at a gift shop and that's what we used to remove labels and sticky messes of all kinds. Just saturate it a bit, and rub off.

Thanks girls! That's two ideas I would have never thought of ~ both worth a try!

Also try heating the stuff with a hair dryer - sometimes that softens the glue enough that you can peel or rub it off. Be careful not to burn your fingers, though. It gets pretty hot!!!

You could also try rubbing the sticky stuff with some creamy peanut butter. I know peanut butter will remove pitch - and I've used it on labels.

Try baby oil. It takes sticker and labels off of things I get from the store.
