Has anyone ever used Pampered Chef baking stones? If you have what did you use and how did you like the results?

I love the baking stone we have! My suggestion is to make sure you season it really well, either cook something fatty on it, like a really buttery type bread, or wipe it down really good with oil and heat it up in the oven for a bit. We tend to just leave ours in the oven, even when we're not baking on it and we're baking something else in the oven. I like pretty much all of the things we've baked on it...really I can't think of anything that's turned out horrible.

Love MY baking stones. I have converted all of my oven cookware to stone. took some time and money, but my food turned out better. i never burn anything. It is very predictable. Just remember it does take longer to heat up the pan, so sometimes you have to add a few minutes of baking time.

Love them, they are a great investment

Two of my baking stones are el-cheapo pizza stones and we LOOOOOVE pizza made on them. Elizabeth is right, bake several batchees of fatty foods to get a good grease layer built like seasoning cast-iron. Just make sure it isn't something like garlic oil if you plan on using your stone for sweets too.

After loving my pizza stones, I splurged and got a PC jelly-roll style pan and hardly ever use it. My preference for cookies is still a good heavy shiny aluminum pan with either a Silpat or some parchment paper.

Just my 2 cents...

I have the pizza stone, the cookie sheet, the round baker, the muffin pan and something else I cant think of. I LOVE them!

I had bad luck with my baking stone from Pampered Chef. It broke in two in just 6 months. I never replaced it.

Love my baking stone. Great reicpes for it in their cookbooks. If you want the carmel apple pizza I can post the reicpe. One of my favs to take to parites.
I have several PC pans. And baking cookies works very well , but watch your time.
I make meatloaf in my muffin pan and it wipes clean very easlity. I made a small deep pan pizza from MJF recipe book with the budget mix and it was GREAT! It was just enough for the two of us.
I used the medium rectangle pan for that one. When I make one calzone with the budget mix I use the smallest pan. I also bake two chicken breasts on it. Oh yes and I use the small one in my toaster oven in the camper.
All in all I have to say I really like it, but you DON'T have to use the PC brand to get great
results. My family is trained NOT to wash any of them with dish soap.

also going to try the peach tart with pie crust and free form the crust by folding it over the edges and using the pizza stone. I think it will be necterines and peaches I have some of both to use up. ENJOY!

Thank you all! I am going to try mine on Sunday. I went to Value village and by chance I found a Pampered Chef Stoneware Cookbook. So here goes wish me luck. Wende, please post the recipe for carmel apple pizza. it sounds yummy!

I have a couple of pc stoneware that is so seasoned and used that it is a nice carmel color! I really love the loaf pan for perfect bread everytime. The only thing that I don't use them for anymore is cookies... and that's because I've discovered the SilPat baking mat and LOVE the way the cookies come out. I use the roaster for lasagne and have never had an issue cleaning it. Just remember...NEVER use soap on them, and SEASON them well. Have fun!

My mom kept her's in the oven at all times! It never came out. I loved it!

I bought a cheap one at Big Lot's, but would like to get one from PC, like my mom's.

Dawn, I am not sure, it's been so long since I have done anything PC (it's not that big here in NYC, not many people cook at home). But, I thought their stuff had warrentees, some life time, and I am quite sure most at least 12 months.

Just make sure you season your loaf pan before you put your dough in. I still put a light brush of salad oil if I'm going to bake whole wheat. The more you use it, the more seasoned it gets.

NEVER NEVER in the dishwasher! My DH did that to my first stone and it never held a season...ended up getting rid of it. If you have never used it before, rinse it with hot water and dry it, then coat it libral with cooking oil and put it in the oven at 375 for about 15 minutes. Remove from oven, wipe oil out with papertowel and let the pan cool. When you're ready for baking, brush the pan again lightly with oil and put the dough in. Have fun!

Love my pc stoneware. I use the big bowl with the deep dish baker for oven potroast. The baking stone for artisan bread and the loaf pan too. If you have a spot that is tough to clean you can use a baking soda and water scrub on it.

I made Cinnamon Orange Pull Aparts. It was very easy and came out really good.Eighteen rolls cut in half of Frozen bread dough, 1 1/2 teaspoons of cinnamon and 3/4 cup of suger,
5 tablespoons of melted butter, 1 tablespoon of melted butter, 1/3 cup light corn syrup.
Just mix the suger cinnamon and zest together, melt the butter, cut the rolls in half roll them in the butter and then in the sugar mixture. Place them in the fluted pan. halfway drizzle half of the corn syrup, add the remaining rolls, rolled in butter and suger. Drizzle remaining syrup, butter and suger. Let rise and bake til done about 45 minutes in my oven. I wrote the recipe from memory so that is how easy it is. I am not a very good baker but this was great, if I do say so myselh.:)

I have two loaf pans, the rectangle baker and the small round baking dish. I absolutely love them! In fact, I'm having a Pampered Chef party Saturday in order to get some more of them. And September's Hostess special is 60% of the stoneware! Looks like I'll be getting at least one, if not two or three more pieces!
