My girlfriend at work asked me to ask you all ( ) for some "farmgirl baby shower favor ideas. She said "those girls you talk to all the time will have good ideas, right?" Too funny, I'm always talking about y'all. So, she is looking for "farm" related favor ideas to make, she will be doing about 30 I guess. Any suggestions or ideas?

I got small live plants and put them on the table in a newborn diaper and those were the prizes for the games and centerpieces for the table.
I stll have 2 of them and think every time I water them how long I have had them just marks the birthday of my granddaughter.

For individual favors for my niece's shower I made little triangle shaped diapers out of baby flannel, added little plastic diaper pin on the front (found at craft store), and filled with nuts and mints. Of course I used a hot glue gun to assemble the diaper. They were really cute! |

For my SIL baby shower. we painted small flower pots and put a pack od baby's breath seeds in each one, and then you are suppose to plant them when the baby is born and watch them grow together:)

If she's looking for farm related favors, what about making hens nests with egg soaps, or egg shaped candies? I know you can find them, even outside of easter. It goes right along with the theme of babies....Or, you could put together little bread mixes--quickbreads, like muffins and savory scones--you can also buy these at various retail outlets stores like Homegoods for cheap, then attach a pretty little handmade tag on them reading "Bun in the Oven!"...
Little things like that :)

for my daughters shower i bought some glassine bags( craft store, they come 100 in box); i put a lip balm and an individual tissue pak in each one and tied them with a torn of piece of cotton material. they were cute and perfect for this time of year. for gifts i gave 1. cornmeal english muffins with homemade strawberry rhubarbjam 2. a container of homemade laundry soap and recipe for the soap 3. 2 crocheted dishtowels and natural dish soap. instead of games i passed a basket around with envelopes for the thank you cards and had everyone address them to themselves; them i just had one of the kids draw an envelope till the gifts were gone. it was very relaxed and fun. have a great time!
