hey gals! in this season of my life, I am quite poor. so I'm having to make do with just about everything. I really wanted more aprons. So I went to the thrift store looking for bed sheets to make some aprons out of. But what I found was a bunch of pillow shams that would make the most perfect aprons! I made one so far out of a pillow sham that cost me only a buck! So, for a buck and about an hour of my time, I got myself an apron! so exciting!

Heather - how cute and such a great idea.
I picked up some material at an antique shop that I thought would make a cute apron. After looking at it, it's from an old pillow or sheet. Going to my local thrift shop and look through their ribbons/trims to find something to go with it. May just have to take another look at their bedding stuff and see what would make another pretty apron.

Very cute Heather!!! I couldn't help but smile when you said that things were very tight and then seeing the name of your blog :) He is so faithful to provide for our needs :)

I love that! hmm thrift store here I come! hehehe well thanks for some good christmas ideas! I think I have enough ideas for a million christmases to come! Oh well at least I have a mom a sister a soon to be mother-in-law and a soon to be step-daughter. So all is well on the christmas gift giving!
