We think she's 5 yrs old. Seal brown that looks black with white lightning strikes. 4 stockings. Bracelets on all four coronet bands. Snip on the nose. Needs a good worming and a bit more groceries and she'll be good to go. Tobiano.
We're trying to figger out a name for her and so far have Lakota, Dakota, Storm (one of her markings looks like a tornado shape) and then any number of other names like Tater Salad.
She was in with a 2 yr old stud colt so it's possible she may be in foal. Looks like she's foaled at least once and I wondered if the 2 yr old was her son...
We aren't sure how broke she is but on the ground she's extremely gentle, which doesn't tell us a thing about what she does when on her back but we'll get to that part soonest.
I think she's gonna be a keeper...cute girl!!

Judging by the longer daylight here, I'd say IF she were in foal, it'd be about 4+/- mos. I've never had an abortion shot given to any mare. It's okay with me to finish the questionable pregnancy.
Hubby just came up with a nifty name. Are you ready?? Dixie. I think that's just the cutest name! I'll have to try it out on her tmr and see how it feels. I usually give my horses barn names from something they do or way they act. A name will just come to mind and that's that. I like Dixie for the moment. We'll see.
