The Violin Lady had just left this wonderful black living room chair outside for the garbage men or anyone who wanted it (she had a sign FREE on it). We stopped, checked it out and took it home. Cleaned and added a sweet vintage blanket and pillow and now we have one more seat (and the cats adore it!)
Then, our son's Doctor and his wife were getting rid of 2 school desks they had for their children and knew I was homeschooling my daughter, so via FaceBook his wife asked if I wanted the desks...viola. My kids love them!
Wonderful! I love freebies! My family and I do give away alot of stuff at the bottom of our driveway because where we live a yard-sale is not feasible. We just don't have enough traffic. We have given away a bow-flex resistance band weight bench and clothes and other lil' odds and ends.

Great find on the freebie! We tend to put stuff at the end of our driveway that we don't expect to get a decent amount of money from selling. People have taken plastic chairs, a bike, a patio table - it's nice to give things away rather than throw them away.
